Any reviews yet? I'm specifically interested in how they compare to the js9000: response time, etc

49” Class KS8500 8-Series Curved 4K SUHD TV (2016 Model)

Samsung KS8000 (no curve) - 49", 55", 65"
49” Class KS8000 8-Series 4K SUHD TV (2016 Model)

Samsung KU7500 (curved) - 43", 49", 55", 65"
49” Class KU7500 7-Series Curved 4K UHD TV (2016 Model)

Samsung KU7000 (no curve) - 49", 55", 65"
49" Class KU7000 7-Series 4K UHD TV (2016 Model)

As far as I can tell only 55" and up are available on Amazon. I bit on a 49JS9000 - given the current 'clearance' price I can't imagine a 2016 model can offer better value, no matter how great the response times are.

I'm curious about reading the reviews too. Maybe some comparison between a 48js9000 vs 49ks8500.

Elleana: where & how much did you get your 48js9000 for? I missed the sale from Adorama (for $1179) now it's $1379.
(Sorry Bandit390. Don't mean to hijack your post :) )

I sucked it up and purchased from Adorama at $1379. Still a good deal though, cheaper than Amazon and definitely much cheaper than the equivalent 2016 model.

There will be no 43 inch in America.

Is there a source explicitly stating this?

Samsung US website used to only show 55/65" models, but now they have 49" listed as well (the KU6300 series has a 40" listed too), so they may add 43" later too.

Someone said it on the other samsung thread, and if you look at the Samsung website there is no 43 inch. Change it to samsung.eu and the 43 inch shows up. America likes big (YUGE) things, big cars, big televisions, big meals, big people. Its a bummer too because I think 48 is a tad too big for a monitor.

Link?

Samsung.eu doesn't resolve for me. Samsung.com has a list of country sites. I looked at a couple in the EU, but still not seeing the 43"s you found.

Actually that is wrong. Go to Samsung.com Home>TVs>UHD TV>UN55KU7500FXZA. Click on Specs and download the Spec sheet. There you will clearly see the 43-inch UN43KU7500 listed right at the top under Size Class. It appears they just haven't listed it for sale yet like the 55 and 49-inch.

Here is the just updated table from setcombg forums usually it's a solid source:

I have to shorten the source link because it contains cyrillic signs

9500 isn't FALD based on every other source I've read so far, they are playing a little trick with the model numbers:

2015->2016
9500->9800
9000->9500

+1 for displayport on these damn 4k tvs, first OEM that does DP 1.2 or 1.3 with a bypass of the image processor (lag monster) on their high end sets de-facto wins the large PC monitor market.

I know a few older screens have it, but they were shitty screens and didn't bypass etc.
