200mm fan recommendations?

I need a fan for the top of my haf-x, since it will be horizontal it can't be one of those oil bearing fans that will dry out and start grinding after 6 months (like the haf-x fan did, of course). 3 pin, no lights if possible. thanks a lot.
 
I use a couple Silverstone 180mm fans that work absolutely amazing. Might not fit exactly perfect in the top of the case though.
 
I threw a Silverstone AP-181 into the front of my HAF 932. Those are great fans. Hell I had three of them in the bottom of my FT-02 for over a year with no issue despite being a sleeve bearing. If you need a 200mm I have the three stock fans from my HAF. ;)
 
Yeah but he said he needs ones that have a solid life expectancy mounted horizontally, and his stock fan from his haf-x crapped out on him so I doubt he wants some more stock fans.

Any fan could crap out. The HAF line of cases are very popular and you don't hear many reports of the fans failing. Like I said the silverstone fortress and raven series use quite a few sleeve bearing fans mounted horizontally and its not very often that you hear of any issues.
 
Do you guys use the top fan for intake or exhaust? Just curious.
 
I have always used the top fan for exhaust, just because. Right now I have my psu mounted in the top of my HAF 932. I have a couple of 120mm intake fans on the bottom, with filters of course.
 
It'll be exhaust, and serve as the pull of my corsair H100 rad.

I had fan problems (that is, way before I expect fan issues to normally happen) with my 1st gen Stacker too, bit disappointing they couldn't get their act together in a 5 year span imo.

Anyway I'm having trouble finding what I want, don't really wanna take the trouble of fitting a fan of another format, I guess I'll have to look outside of the PC oriented brands.
 
in the end I went for the bitfenix spectre with blue led (I like that it can easily be switched on/off with the haf-x fan led switch). I was a bit annoyed that it's a uni-directional mount, had to tie-wrap it, otherwise I'm very happy with it.
