Tumpeloinen®, what speakers are those? They look very nice. I have a room like yours and am looking for a good set of light wood colored speakers. I know your profile says Finland, but can I buy those in the states? Thanks

well, we get some form of cable in the UK but not alot of people have it i dont think. It works in the same way as we have say 600 channels to choose from including sport, films, documentaries etc. Thats standard sky.

With sky+, its a box with a hard drive inside which allows you to record up to i think its 80gb of tv on to be watched at any point. hope that answers the question :)

Im not sure what it is in america I believe its like cable, with 999 channels and loads more radio stations, Sky is a main company name that provides this service with a dish and box. Sky+ is a Sky box with a built in HDD (custom) adn you can pause live TV, record shows whilst watching another and many more features

The speaker set is Simex Cinema 5.1, which includes five speakers and a 8" active subwoofer. But Simex is a Finnish manufacturer, which doesn't apparently sell their products anywhere else.

But there are a lot of similar wooden type speakers around, so I think you'll find a nice set of speakers with a little searching. :)

That looks damn sexy! I like all the wood, since I have way too much wood in my room also. :D

i really want sky hd too but i am going to wait till i finish uni in a year then get it. 300 quid is too much just for a handful of channels.

i'll post my station soon. just changing my pc case.

this is not true

Telewest / NTL cable is a huge company. Telewest have the "TVDrive" its a HD harddrive recorder with 3 tuners. You can record 2 channels and pause a 3rd just like SKY.

well in comparison to sky within the uk, telewest is seen in a much lower percentage of the houses. i also know that its very limited in the northeast of england so maybe just my perception :) sorry to offend :p

I was a "desktop support intern" over the summer at a regional medical center (6600+ employees) in the IS department

40 hours a week + $10 an hour... well, you do the math!

It's actually a table style jerker from ikea. The secondary shelf (also from ikea) you see above it was something I added manually so I could do a lot of homework by moving my keyboard/mouse underneath it.

These legs were from ikea, too.

For more information/pics, look at my other post:

And if you have any more questions, let me know. It's been standing for quite a while now and feels very solid...even if I bump it. I'm just wondering why Ikea hasn't thought of something like this yet.

Nice, coffee + pepsi = :p

But yeah, nice mousepad  I'd find it impossible to play BF2 with that.
