the thing is i rarely use this setup for watching movies..

i use this setup mostly for games/music/web surfing so really center and rears aren't that important

for movies, i use this setup here.. so really owning another good 5.1 seemed like a waste to me after salvaging sony receiver out of my garage...

wire management - maybe not that pro, but works great - no cables on the floor :D

Very nice and clean, at first I thought it was a very long Mac keyboard :D

Going to clean up some wires and add some more stuff onto my desktop :)

Very nice, what speakers do you have set up with that Marantz?

Thanks! They're the Energy Act 6 Energy is a relatively small speaker maker from Canada that puts out a lot of good speakers. They have great mids and highs and a convincing soundstage, but I'd like to upgrade the 2 front speakers and get towers to get more "full" sound. Oh and as you can all see some stands too :p

that's a pretty cool painting (or poster?).. I really need to put something on the wall that my desk stands by...

looks like a poster of that middle eastern girl, that was on the cover of national geographic.

Cool! I thought I recognised them, but couldn't be sure. I'm using some Paradigm Titans in my office setup - another great set of canuck speakers.

My new setup is in the soon-to-be finished basement. It's much cooler down here, the puter seems to like it more. I also got a new monitor (22" Westinghouse 1680x1050) and my X2 processor will be here tomorrow for the rig.

And yes... the desk is about 350lbs. Wasn't fun getting it down the stairs.

The monitor.. I love this thing. It has component, VGA, DVI, composite and s-video.

My collection is growing :) I'm planning to get another taabl that goes where the Wavemasters are and re-do the whole cables ...

nice shuttle, is that custom made?

Thanks! Actually it is custom, and I've got a worklog here.

The LCD is an Alphacool 240 x 128, and the front panel was milled by Front Panel Express based on my design.

That's the best looking Shuttle I've ever seen Craig, nice job!

What is the spec of that beauty?

I appreciate the compliment! As of right now, the specs are as follows.

Shuttle SN26P, AMD X2 4400+, 2 GB OCZ Platinum, (2) 300 GB WD, (2) eVGA 7800 GTX, BenQ DL DVD w/ Lightscribe (soon to be replaced by dual Pioneer slim slot load burners), and PN18 Wireless.

So while I'm back in college, I got to move into the new University owned apartment like places. They are very nice, the place I'm at houses 7 people but I only have 5 roommates. It has a laundry area, kitchen, living room, and 2 bathrooms. So my workstation is in my room.
