I'm 18... so this September I'll probably be fairly depressed when I mov out to university. :(

The Sony is a 60inch LCD rear projection. Picture is beautiful... especially the Superbowl on HD

Hey, nice workstation, but I am more interested in your computer itself. Have you posted pictures of just the computer somewhere else in the forum so I could take a peek? If not, GET ON IT, MAN!!! :p

Ahhh, the beatuy of a clear case...., looks nice, man! Love the clearness, a lot of people are too afraid to do that because of their cables and whatnot, but you have pulled it off nicely! Love it! One of my favorites!

whoo thanks.. :D:D

took a lot of time and some soldering to get the cables managed...but i think i could do it a lot better...

You're welcome. There's always room for improvement for everything, though, so no big worries, I'd say. I'd like to be posted on updates of your rig, so PM me if any updates occur!

I know xoxide has one thats under there name under cases that looks clear acrylic like that.

Thud, looks good! Get some more pics of the mac mini, how much did you pay for it?

i don´t know if it is a xoxide case...i bought it from a local computer store here in germany. originally it is a kit, you must build it together by yourself :)

Hey, how can you record stuff with that huge CRT? Unless its all electronic, I would think the hum/interference would kill! Oh, and like your new mac mini setup :)
With all the recordings my band has done, the only kind of monitors I've seen in the studios were CRT's.

Heres my new workstation...

And since everyone liked my xbox from my first workstation i got 1 more pic of it :)

tw0_f0ur: don't the desk legs get in the way of you pulling your chair in to use the computer?

humm

Xbox: 150
modchip : 60
LCD screeen : 50
120GB HD: 100

So about $310

Its not that hard actually, u just have to know how to solder good. Most modchips are usally a 10pin pinheader u got to solder in. but this one is 12 i think im not sure, So basically u need to know how to solder. and after u get the pinheader installed u gotta solder the D0 point which is so tiny, its VERY hard to solder wire onto it. but if ur a expierenced solder'er u should be fine. It takes about 2 Hrs from start to finish to have a full modded out running xbox with the dashboard running and all.

Huh, weird. I record stuff myself every once in awhile and I always have to turn off the monitor to eliminate all of the hum. Hmm...

Strange...wait, just thought about it, we're always in the sound proof rooms, so sound doesn't get in or out...problem solved! :)

hah thanks man, one is modded, and the other one is for xbox live. I got to paint the modded one still and do a 128MB upgrade on it b/c i gotta solder the chips in.

wat kind of a performance boost will the extra RAM get you? havent been on the modding seen for over a year, so im really behind on everything.... :(

it if u run ga,es off the HDD u will get a slight increase in loading time. Its mainly for watching DVDs from the HDD or playing games b/c they take up alotta RAM and its always to have extra :) Some dashboards use alotta RAM and some dont.

seems like that desk is popular. there like 3 ppl around me who have it nd a few ppl on here

I see my kittie! Yes she actually is evil, when I had my room set up differently she seemed to take great pleasure in knocking one of my shelf speakers down off a shelf onto my shoulder and almost dislocating it...

Back on topic:

My desk is about to collapse, I guess that's what I get from 7 year old particle board..
