yuck i jsut hate alienware cases... big piece of plastic that is fugly ..and its basically a chiefftec case with these fancy things on them..................overpriced.. thats what keeps me away from them.. and the fact i can build computers..

what I meant is that basically your machine goes form place to place unstead of having one person take care of everything and make shure everything is up to par... the problem with assembly lines are that it goes of so many different people you dont get individual attention

alienware is just like any other big pc company (hp/compaq, ibm, falcon, pro-star, gateway/emachines & apple) or like any of the big three in detroit, they all have plant's like that and mass produce items so they can get them out to the public. that's how the manufacturing industry is. the auto industry was like that for decades and the pc was like that since the late 80's

nice workstation their & love that case. i have 2 (1 mine & 1 is my younger brothers) of them. the area is nice and clean. as far as the mess on the sides, dont see any from the pic you posted
 
Korruption what desk is that? I've been trying to find a nice sized desk where the pullout gives me enough room for my keyboard and mouse spread out and even with room for headphones, thats perfect.

all i'm saying is that it's hard to take a person seriously on an enthusiast hardware website when i see two whitebox, overpriced pcs proudly displayed...

Nope i took that picture about an hour before i posted it. That light is kinda normal in my room .
The light on the picture is like that because i didnt used the flash. I hate flas it messes everything up.

I'd like to see you recreate the VoodooPC Hexx period, much less for less money than he bought it for.
 
Tman. Nothing personal bro, but you need to come to terms on how things are done in an industrialized nation.

Any think you buy that is mass produced is line driven. Cars, Computers, Clothes, you name it. Why is it done that way? Efficiency. Meaning, more made, makes more money. Maximize output in a given time, maximize $'s received.

You’ll never find one of the big tier manufactures sitting one person in front of a product from start to finish. If you alienware was done that way the 2500 price tag would be more like 3500
 
I'd never buy a pre-fab Desktop because they're almost all cheap, generic parts, slapped into a flashy but flimsy case with lights or some other gimmick, that will break and perform terribly when compared to a WELL DONE home made computer.

Servers and workstations are a totally different story though.

and why do any of you care? its his money, not yours. he probably knew it was cheaper to go self-built, but there was a reason why he bought one pre-built.

Ok guys lets just end the posts about me and my alienware/hexx

I got an Alienware because it was my first computer and it was the thing that got me into computers. The HeXx is for my dads house (in the picture it is set up and my moms because I had friends over so we laned) And the main picture about the HeXx is that I was going to build my own computer at my dads but a guy I know who owned the HeXx was going to sell it because he need the money, so he made me an offer and I had to say YES to it because I think and still think that it was a good deal hell I got all of this-
FX-53 ($700)
1g ($200)
6800 Ultra ($500)
7.1 ($90)
2x 74g Raptors ($~400 back then) (but not sure exactly)
CD ROM ($40)
CD RW ($60)
Other Parts Fans, Heat sinks, Floppy, board, ($~250-350)
Painkiller, Doom3, Half lIfe all games, UT2004, QuakeIII, Farcry, 2 other games) ($200+)
22" NEC monitor ($600)
Keyboard Mouse ($60
Razer Mouse ($50
5.1 Zalman Head Phones ($40)

And that comes over what I payed for it. Also I am still very new to computers!!!!!!

I have a 4 foot blacklight sitting behind the desk and I have 2 UV lights in my case. It looks really cool.

hehe, and why's that? :p

I'll have to try and get some pics up pretty soon, cus not only do I now have my MX1000, but I got my Z-680's and have them wall mounted symetrically all around my closet walls.....and it sounds SO nice. :D Next step, M-Audio revolution and coax. ;)
