I was just gonna ask the same question? Why on the ground when they would surely fit into your case?

Umm... 5.1 minus one?
its not even 5.1, its not surround sound if it doesnt surround you   i noticed that missing speaker as well...

no one said surround buddy. . its still a 5.1 or a 4.1 setup in this case, it just refers to the amount of speakers, not the placement. But its obvious such a setup is meant for surrounding the listener . . . i think peopel are just overlooking the fact he has hard drives no the floor too much

lol the 5th speaker is off to the left and actually its 2 of the logitech 5500 setups.. just no 2nd sub, so its 10 speakers placed through out the room :)

also, hds are on the floor because the case has 2.4tb inside of it and i ran out of room kthx :p

My lil set up... simple and clean :D

This is my lil "studio" area. The clear PC is for recording, the white one is my server and the black Dell is my downloading PC.

Your room kicks ass. That's the exact setup I'm dreaming of.

lol naw the room isnt done + my dvd-rw took a shit last night and had to rip it out for rma and then discovered the MASSIVE dust in my heatsink

makes me glad i use water, no need to really worry about clogged heat sinks, and a rad wont clog(at least from my experience for the last 6 months)

a bit dark, but with the flash, the licence plate on the wall would make everything else pretty much impossible to see

They do gather lots of dust. Mine was the same.

I'm not sure that I'd sell it (you can never have too many LCD's, right?), but I'll keep you in mind if I do :)

And yes, Sierra Nevada = Mmm

Ah, I'm in the Navy. Submarine Service, to be specific. I've only been in for a little under 2 years now, and all I've managed to pick up are the National Defense, Global War on Terrorism (both are gimmies), Rifle and Pistol (both with sharpshooter devices). I should have a nice little stack of chest-candy by the time I'm out in 3 years... Thanks for noticing :)

I thought I liked glass-topped desks too when I bought one, but as soon as I noticed how horribly it reflected the dust and beer-bottle rings, I vowed to never buy one again.

You should have seen what I racked up after 13 years in the army and fighting in panama, the gulf war, bosnia, and 3 tours of s korea.

Damn man that sucks!

Thanks for serving!

Corrosive, Bio-hazard, Kaervek, props to all of you. I'm only a midshipman in NROTC, but hey, in 3.5 more years I'll get a comission.

I live by the motto, Duty, Honor,Country............ ;) If I had to do it all over again, I would, except for the crash part............. But hey, it was fun while it lasted.
