If I'm not mistaken that's your Project-Time Machine. I love that Idea, but I did have a question. Will all of the computers be running Windows XP?
That is correct, from the left 97, 98 and 99. They will use the operating systems that were popular back then so I will yet again mess around with win95, win98, w2k and later on XP and Vista.

Oh ok, I was going to say if you weren't, then it truly wouldn't be a Time Machine.

LOL....7 Megabytes....you wish.....I have 4.5 down and it smoked through loading his larger images with no problems. What cable company do you have? If their telling you that you're getting 7 down, then I'd be calling them up and demanding some answers b/c speeds aren't offered of more than 5.5 down in the US by any cable company.

Check around and read some on the net and you will see. LOL The pics were a little large for some but so are a lot of the others people have posted. I like big pics as it makes things easy to see when they are of great quality. Nice set up cc2096 :)

CC 2096, is that a HS850 BT headset chargeing there? how do you like the quality of audio from it?

kinda slow was about 5-7 secs, i didnt count

sorta spoiled by stuff loading poof i guess, i remember counting 6-8 images each at about 1 mb

hasnt changed yet, what i enjoy the most is the upstream tho, downstream is sorta a side benefit
<edit> tested it again, just to see if there was line problems, faster now

You do realize that broadband tests online aren't very reliable and vary due to your location to the server that is hosting the test. I've had a couple of tests say I get 10mbps but I know it's not even close to right.

I take those tests results like a grain of salt b/c to be honest their not worth the time they take to host them. Then again they get paid to have them via adverstising etc so guess you can't totally blame them.

You're also exactly right about everyone being spoiled by fast internet loading times etc. I guess I'm one of the old timers on here who had internet 15+ yrs ago that loaded at 9 bal or slower and thought it was kewl even it sucked royally b/c you waited forever to view anything. LOL

Ok my pics were big, I resized them... lets get back on topic guys  .

Actually one is a HS810 the other is a HS820. Both work quite well, have a substantial charge to them (about 6 hours a piece), but I tend to use the HS810 a little more. I think it is a little more comfortable to wear, and stays in place a little better than the HS820.

my cable company advertises 7 megabits downstream and 768 kbits upstream, on fileplanet i get the full 875 kb/sec fear demo downloaded quite fast and i frequently send isos and such to friends at ~100 kb/sec:D
