-Looking to build a hardcore Gaming PC (Battlefield 3 on MAX settings), some we browsing and video.
-2000$ limit not including tax or monitors.
-Live in Arizona.
-Need motherboard, CPU, RAM, Graphics cards, Hard drive / SSD, Case, CD drive, Power supply, Fans, Heat Sync, Thermal Compound, Sound Card?, Mouse.
-Not reusing any parts.
-No overclocking (want this PC to last a couple years).
-3 27 inch Planar monitors
-Looking to buy / build around september / october
-Features on motherboard: Crossfire, SLI, USB 3.0, SATA 6 Gb/s.
-OS windows 7 home, 64 bit.

Looking to build a gaming monster, any ideas would help a lot for this is the first build for me in a long time. Thanks.

Ask on or after October 25, 2011 (unless a demo comes out before then.)

Otherwise you're basically going to want to get the best you can, so a Core i7-2600 and Radeon 6970s in Crossfire/Trifire/Quadfire, and hope for the best. It's a new game engine for a top tier game franchise that usually pushes hardware pretty hard when it comes out. So until it's out we don't know what it's going to take for top settings, especially on three 27" monitors. What resolution are those monitors? 1080p, 1440p, or other?
 
Prices change quite often, nothing useful we can really give now since prices will all be different in october.
 
Bump this topic the week you're ready to buy.
 
Why not wait and get whatever is the best price then if you're aren't even going to put it together?

There's nothing to gain by buying tech two months before you need it.

That's not a good idea. I mean, sure if you see a copy of Windows 7 on sale for $80 go for it. Or if there's a case you really love that goes on sale. But in general you want to put your parts together when you get them in case there's a problem with them. Also, as I mentioned, we don't know the system requirements for BF3.

Yeah that's a really really bad plan: Outside of extremely great deals, no good reason to buy parts so early if you're not gonna build the PC right away.
