-Looking to build a hardcore Gaming PC (New games on MAX settings), some web browsing and video.
-2000$ limit not including tax or monitors.
-Live in Arizona.
-Need motherboard, CPU, RAM, Graphics cards, Hard drive / SSD, Case, CD drive, Power supply, Fans, Heat Sync, Thermal Compound, Sound Card?, Mouse.
-Not reusing any parts.
-No overclocking (want this PC to last a couple years).
-3 27 inch Planar monitors. 1080P
-Looking to buy / build with the next two weeks.
-Features on motherboard: Crossfire, SLI, USB 3.0, SATA 6 Gb/s.
-OS windows 7 home, 64 bit.

Looking to build a gaming monster, thinking about a crucial M4 SSD and two HDDs. Not sure if there is a difference with i72600k and i52500k in hardcore gaming? 133 RAM, 1.5V. 750W PSU? Havn't built a PC before, any input would be helpful.
 
Both of them CPUs are killer quick. But you got money to burn so go with the i7.
 
I've read that there are little differences in the two as far as gaming goes but other places I read that I should go with the i7???

i5 has hyper-treading is disabled, while the i7 is enable they're both quad core cpus. In windows when you look at the treads you will see that i7 has eight treads, so the only advantage is if you frequently use programs that can actually make use of 8 threads.
 
Please come back in a week and bump this thread up as we'll know what Newegg's September combo deals will be. As such we'll be able to save you money. With that said, if you don't want us to save you money and are willing to stick with a list that may become outdated or poor for the money in a few short weeks. So please let us know now what you want to do.

IF you still have cash to burn, then get the 2600K. Otherwise, stick with the Core i5 2500K
 
Hopefully you're not suggesting that those 3 27 inch monitors be included in the build price... it's not possible to have a video card solution to drive those monitors AND pay for the monitors in the budget.

/Derp, just noticed you said it's not including monitors.

Well I guess it looks like I will be waiting another week! I don't think anybody likes throwing away money, thanks for the heads up. Will repost in a week. Will probably go with the 2600k just to have the hyperthreading.
