Mr relic, I have a sneaking suspicion you're a retired USMC DI with stock in the electric company, which, in all reality, ain't none of my business.
On the cereal side, that was really nice of tedkj donating a couple of 8800 GT's and the cards really need to go to a deserving person.
ATM I'm "knee deep" in my newest endeavor "disk less and less everything else" folding by bringing an OC'ed (to a big 3.0 GHz) E6600 up to fold disk less (the HD went zzzz). At least I hope I have, the boxen's only been folding for about an hour so I have no ideer' whether it's stable or not, it folded OK at 3.0 GHz with a HD so I think it's OK. If it is or if it isn't I'll scrounge around my parts closet to see if there's anything else I can drag out and dust off to put together as a 24/7 folder. The electric bill be damned. I am of course a paragon of compasson and understanding, my kind demeanor and jovial style are renowned. I spend my daytime kissing babies and saving ants from children with magnifying glasses, while my evenings are spend in quiet repose reading poetry and sipping tea.

Working on it, as soon as I figure out if it's my PSU or my motherboard I'll be adding another 10k PPD. That's 1/25th of what we need!

Anyhow.... I'm doing all I can, and I have somehow managed a few really good days, well for me at least......5-6k a day is pretty damn big for me.....now I just hope I can keep things stable and running at this level for a while...

According to the website, we have only 1,412 active members out of 12,917 registered ones. That's only about 11%. It would be great if we could get our active members up to 2,000 or more. Then if each one produced only 2k PPD we'd be outputting 4,000,000 PPD, which is very easy to do with SMP machines and dual core processors. We should try and do a large recruiting effort of all of our old folks who haven't folded in a while, as well as pumping up our GPU2 output, we could really start to grow our lead so that it's huge.

Evil and I did just that not too long ago, and before that SmokeRngs had a pretty successful "lurker" call out thread as well.......and that was actually the thread that got me more involved...
Maybe it's time to try another mass pm'ing of non-active previous folders... never hurts to try....
I'll dig around and see if I can find the huge list of names that Evil and I had a while ago...
I'm pushing just shy of 9k a day at the moment. Been holding off rebuilding my main rig (new case, new mobo, better OC), because well it's my main rig... But I'll get on that ASAP. These damn 2665 SMP WU are killing me though... Loosing about 1.6k PPD because of them. Out of 5 SMP clients running only 1 of them is on a non 2665 WU. Either way I should break 100k barrier later tonight.

Amen schenksmill!!! I lost two 8800GTS 512MB cards for a long time last night & this morning. I think because of the amount of computing power the GPU2 client has, they should up it from just 2 servers, to at least 4, spread out around the country/world.

I just got back about 4500PPD from one of my quads being down. Had to steal a hard drive from another working machine to do it, though. So there.

Now all I need to do is see if I can get the overclock back up on one of my quads. At least as long as the heat doesn't take it down.
