people have suggested me u2410 or HP LP 2475W for my budget
they are both around $580

and people suggested me 5850 for better value over gtx260 216 for example.
that seem to break my budget tho, what could i have done better to save more?

bad link yo

Corrected link.

The only thing you need (besides the monitor and video card) is maybe a 3rd party CPU cooler (let's do that 920 some justice yeah? haha). Also those 2 LCDs people have suggested are IPS panel LCD which cost twice as much as TN panel. If you don't do Photoshop or photo editing of any sort, go with the more inexpensive TN panel LCD. I have no viable recommendation on LCDs so I'll let someone else do it. Other than that your build looks promising.

Ditch that Corsair 620HX and go with the better and higher wattage/amperage PSU deal:
$115 - Antec Truepower New TP750 750W PSU

Ditch the mobo and CPU and get this combo instead:
$504 - Intel Core i7 920 CPU and Asus P6T Intel X58 ATX Motherboard Combo

More RAM slots for not that much more.

For gaming on a 22" monitor, I'd highly suggest dropping down to an i5 or even Ph2 X4:

Even if you're getting a 24", I'd still highly suggest dropping down to an i5 for solely gaming. The only time I'd suggest an i7 for gaming is if you're doing it on a 30" monitor and plan on getting 2+ vidcards.

If you're gonna stick with i7, I agree with Danny's suggested changes. Regardless of CPU/Mobo, go for that PSU instead. Its only semi-modular, but still a better bang for your buck, since its a much newer design, more power, and much cheaper. Oh, and go for the CoGage True Spirit for the HSF.
$40 - CoGage True Spirit 4-Heatpipe Core i7 CPU Cooler (Thermalright OEM)

Hey, how did you do that?

See how that works? :p

This probably won't be of much help as you're in CT and there is no Micro Center in CT, but they sell your CPU for $200. Unfortunately, it's in-store pick-up only.

i7 920 at Micro Center And from what I read they only sell the D0 stepping. Mine was.

Not sure exactly where you live in CT or if you travel around, but there is one in Cambridge, MA, one on Long Island, and one in North Jersey. A quick $90 savings for you if you can pick one up.
