Reason why the original 17182 not available to view now is because I can only publish 1 score with the free version. I dont have the Pro version,I'm a cheapie :D

FM is really coming down on nvidia hard huh, it won't even approve the 60.85 WHQLed drivers...

because FM hasnt approved even the 60.85 WHQLed drivers yet. but they are going to try on the approved 60.72 drivers. even with a loss of 2% that some people say it would still be more than macci's

theoretically speaking ;)
 
Can you say VapoChill cooling to get 17K mark needed. In the end, it maybe a record breaker but not useful for practicalitly reasons.

They never do in these uber tests lol :p But looking over at guru3D lard posted more links.And he ran it at 1024X768?It looks pretty lagit and macci even lent him his vapo :eek:
I must say apart from the none approved FM drivers its a pretty impresive score :)

man, all this 3DMark this and 3DMark that and all these 3DMark pissing contests is starting to make me wonder, do people people actually play games anymore or do they just spend gobs and gobs of money just to have the King of The Hill 3DMark bragging rights?

I think that it's cool to see them fight over the top spot. Those setups are insane! To base a video card purchase over 3dmark is stupid, but to test the limits using science/technology to achieve an awesome feat in the tech world is :cool:.

oh believe me, I dont get hernias over stuff like that.

I quit the "I just gotta have the latest and greatest at no matter what the cost" attitude quite some time ago when I found my bank account getting lower and lower and lower. :p

now in days I stay one step under the top dog and I have found my bank account finally gaining some badly needed weight again. :D
 
somebody is always going to be beaten by somebody else.. so i just accept and say "props to them" , sorry about the hernia joke but its just.....you just seemed jelous.
 
I cant wait to get my 6800GT :) I would have pre-ordered one already but the date keeps geting pushed back.

lol yeah my ti4200 is limiting me :(
but ill be getting a x800xt or 6800ultra (depends on how i feel by june 18th (the day i order lol)) ...hope you get somebody to buy that 5900 ;)
been saving for a while. glad i skipped a generation of cards (fx + 9xxx series)

btw: nice overclock 2.4@3.6 = wow :)

I hear that man, but IMO, if your here it's probably more of a hobby to see how well your computer performs vs others.

They should run the tests in defualt mode which would be all of them. Not just the ones that the system is best at.

It doesn't need to, the only tests that make up the score are the game tests. That is what determines the total score. The rest are cpu/technology tests that have no impact. That is why the score is legit.
 
Yeah its mainly a time saver so they can do benchmark runs more quickly and conveniently.

Yeah I kinda wished I had skipped a generation. My ti4600 was the shiznit. :)
obviously fx5900 and 9800 are faster, but if I had known the jump ATI and nV were going to do with this generation, I would have held off. Oh well, I might put my fx5900 in my work computer so I can game there when noone's looking!
 
I bet it would be cool to get that mark if it actually rendered it and didnt just display a blank screen with a few wireframes lol

But don't you NEED a Pro verison to only run selected tests? cos with Free version it runs All the tests.




p.s. somethin shifty about the new [H]forum.... continuously said some bs like server is having problem, etc and didn’t show any post about 30min ago (on one pc which I logged in to the forum) until I deleted cookies and reloaded.. it worked straight away. And reason I tried that was cos at same time it worked fine on other pc with diff internet connection.

I think you can escape out after the gametests run and still get a legit score, I read it further in that thread.
 
well the score only comes from those 4 tests, so theres no point in running the others.

you can press esc as soon as cpu test1 starts and still get the gfx score
