Hello

i wanted to built a new PC, plain and simple but not shabby.
i dont have any interest in overclocking or SLI , crossfire stuff ect
but still want some quality i thought bout something like this

will cost around 1500$
im gonna use it for Gaming Photoshop and video editing

i7 2600 (non k)
any of the ASUS h67 boards
RAM *Thats a big questionmark for me ill get to that in a bit
ximatek uthgard midtower with a ximatek 700W psu
win7 64
Asus gtx460 -256bit
WD Black caviar Sata3 1tb

*ive researched some of the h67 boards a bit and most of them dont
have a QVL list on the ASUS site.The one i found was for the Ph8h67
and reading that resulted only in me not knowing what Memory to buy.

Does that mean if its not listed on the QVL and i plug something like i.e.
2 Corsair Vengeance 4 GB DDR1600 C9 on the mobo anyways, that it could harm the
Mobo/CPU ?

Any help is appreciated, as well as other suggestions.

(but pls no overclocking my budget is already stretched out
and the stuff is way more expensive in my country)
 
Since you're not overclocking, you don't need DDR3 1600 memory. Grab a DDR3 1333 dual-channel kit that runs at 1.5V. (Corsair, Mushkin, A-DATA, and G.Skill make 1.5V memory).

Regarding the QVL, its primary purpose is to indicate which brands and models of RAM have been tested and proven to work with the board in question. Since the H67 boards are relatively new, you may not see many types of RAM listed in their QVLs.

I don't know where you're buying parts from, but other ways to save money on this build are:

- Buy a 500-650 watt power supply with at least 40A (combined) on the PSU's 12V rail(s). You don't need a 700 watt power supply for your system plus one GTX 460.
- Consider a cheaper mid-tower case. If the PSU is included as part of a case/PSU bundle, see if you could save some money by buying both components separately.
- The Western Digital SATA III hard drive is no better than any other SATA II drive around. If it's available, see if you can find the Samsung F3 HD103SJ for less.
- This falls under "desperate measures" given the purposes of this system, but if push comes to shove, you may have to compromise by going with the i5-2500 instead of the i7-2600.

The RAM will NOT harm your motherboard man! haha, good thinking and double checking though... better to be safe then sorry!
 
However, buy RAM that runs on voltage higher than 1.65V will. If nothing else, make sure that the RAM that you buy is at 1.5V. (Based on your earlier links, you have plenty of good options available.)
