I am looking for a new pc that can double as a storage machine. Right now I am thinking about 3 of the Samsung 2TB drives in addition to a boot drive. I know that takes up a good portion of the budget, but I think its still doable since I won't be gaming at all. Any input would be appreciated.

Did you need a 24" monitor in that $1500 budget?

If not, here's a prelim build:

No, I don't need the monitor. In the hot deals section on I saw the i7-930 for $199 at microcenter. Should I swap out that ssd and add in intel 80GB g2 since I will be saving a bit on the cpu?

Hell yes. If you live near a Microcenter, get the $200 Core i7 930 and put in the Intel 80GB SSD.

MC also has combo deals for the motherboards when bought with a CPU, btw. ;)
