$15 vs $50 dvi cables, any difference?

hi i just bought myself a viewsonic vx910 at best buy and i noticed that the belkin dvi cable ($50) is just way too much for me. so i went to newegg and i found $15 ones and i ordered right away. am i missing out on something since i bought the cheapos?
 
No difference.......But you are going to be getting a lot of answers saying there is a difference, but at the end there is none...
 
Maybe if the 15 dollar cable is total crap.

However, you would only see this on projectors, and the cable has to be rather long (>25 ft)

So on your monitor IMO Hell no. On a $15000 projector that can do 1080p with the source device 40 feet from the projector... maybe

Since the cable is digital, its the same picture either way. If you have satillite TV, you can relate. Notice how your picture quality doesn't change when it rains --- if the rain is bad enough, the screen just goes black. As long as you're getting a signal over the DVI cable, the signal is perfect. The only difference you'll notice between the two is that better cables keep the signal even at longer distances.
 
I got a 3ft. DVI cable from www.buy.com for $10 shipped, and it arrived in two days, even faster than newegg. It works great, I can't imagine how something costing 10x as much would be justifiable, especially considering the fact that the signal is either on/off, 1/0, yes/no, etc...

More than $20 and you're just paying for the brand name or logo stamped on the ends.
 
get someone who works there to get it for you, if the discount is still what it used to be, 5% over store cost. 50 dollar cable goes to 2 dollar cable
 
This can be answered in one simple phrase....

digital = digital = digital = digital :)

It either works or it dosent.

yeah.. Monster is nutz too.. I saw an HDMI / DVI cable for $129 the other day.
 
Best buy, compusa, etc make a shit load in cable sales. It is the same thing as copusa charging 22 bucks for a usb cable that costs them 3.
