A friend of mine is wanting to build a PC and I have offered to help him with part selection. He lives in Las Vegas.

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, school, some productivity. Almost entirely gaming, he wants to be able to max out games and be future proof for the most part for a while.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$1200 USD. Some leniency here. The build I have put together on PcPartPicker is slightly higher and he is aware of that.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
LV, Nevada. 10 minute drive or so away from a Fry's.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, Cooler (needed for sure considering climate), Mobo, Ram, Storage, GPU, Case, Wireless Network Adapter would be nice, PSU, OS

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Corsair 650tx V2. He is going to be reusing that and needs a PSU to put into his old rig that he is handing down to his GF (Intel Q8400 and AMD 7770 based system).

6) Will you be overclocking?
Perhaps, not decided at this time but he would like that as an option. He does understand that he would save some money by using non-overclocking parts.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
1920x1080 but has future plans for a monitor upgrade.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Ordering today.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0 and UEFI preferable.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
No. He is wanting the latest OS, so Windows 8 it is.

He seems to be content with the build i have made, but I was wondering if you have any suggestions or critiques for quality control and to maximize performance.

Thank you in advance.

My friend has. It shouldn't be too late to cancel any specifics as he did it late in the day. Did you see something off or incompatible?

The 650 is barely a year of moderate use. Purchased during US tax time last year.

Thank you for taking a look and good to know that it will at least work lol. Certainly better than his old HP PC that he is giving to his GF.

The only real problem that I can see with that build is the case: It's kinda cramped inside compared to similarly priced cases out there. But it'll do the job though.
