1080Ti vs TitanXP ?

How does 1080Ti fare against TitanXP? What are the differences in make?

It would be a punch in the gut if Nvidia releases a full chip Titan for $999.

Titan purchasers have had the pleasure of using them for some months now.

The message was, only by full chip Titans. $1200 for that, go for it.
If you have a full chip TItan, it's nearly impossible for it to be passed up by the Ti later on.

I'll never poo poo how someone spends their money, but a cut Titan looks like a glorified Ti.

Ya, the Titan XP should really have been the full/uncut chip, followed by the 1080Ti now at 85-90% of its performance. Instead, Nvidia had other plans, so basically the two are pretty much identical now performance wise, especially if properly cooled and OC'ed.
