So I got this combo on newegg and now I need a video card.

I'm thinking ATI 4850 seems to be the best card in the $100 range, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about which is possible, I haven't owned a gaming desktop in over 2 years so I'm downright rusty.

I saw this card: http://www.eworldsale.com/sapphire-...-bit-gddr3-pci-express-20-x16_5869_29466.html

It is a bit slower than the standard spec, but it's 1GB and the price is nice.
What does everyone think? That card or another?

edit: crap realized I posted this in ATI area, guess I'm going to get a biased agreement on my choice :p
edit2: Willing to buy used.

Are you willing to buy used, I have bought the majority of my PC gear off our FS?FT forums with no problems.

I think you could get a gtx260 or hd4870 used for around your price range.
The card you linked is a pretty solid choice and seems to be a good price.

On a side note, that newegg deal you picked up is pretty nice :D

the 4850 is a nice card for a bill

used 4870

or this

New HD4770 will be enough for moderate gaming. A future proof solution is HD5750 for 145$.

nothing is future-proof, and 4850 is a bit faster than 4770, but the 5750/5770 wouldn't be a bad choice if he can stretch that budget a bit

non-AMD wise:
a used GTX 260 or 275 might be a reasonable option to consider
the 275 will probably run on the high end, price wise

basically go with whatever looks best for a bill, 4850, 4870, 4770, 5750, 5770, GTX 260, GTX 275, all are good options, some are just a bit faster

Newegg had open box 5750's for that price, i snagged one. but you'd have to play a waiting game to get one again,
