I can't get Killing Floor to start and other times the screen flickers when i try any other game. :confused:
 
my desktop screws up when I scroll up or down. BFBC 2 randomly freezes @#!!!!!!
 
They are working fine for me but I'm on older hardware (4870 X2).

Though when I say fine I mean as well as the last couple. still plenty of Xfire issues, DX9 issues, Opengl issues, etc..

The mouse cursor corruption does appear to be gone though, which is quite nice.
 
My ST2410 (my external) is never positioned in the same place when I start the computer up, or won't display anything until I disable, and enable it. Sometimes its placed to the right, the left, or on top. Kinda fun trying to find which way to move the mouse to find it...(not).
 
I updated to the 10.12a hotfix a few hours ago, and honestly I dont see any difference from the 10.10e hotfix.
 
Haven't seen any issues running 4890 Crossfire yet. Will probably update to the 10.12a hotfix in a few minutes here. Mostly been playing Mass Effect 2 and a few other random things.
 
So far no issues in L4D2, Crysis, Mirrors Edge, or Batman AA on sig PC #3 with the 10.12..
Dirt2, GRID, GTR, and Burn Out Paradise also run fine using 10.12 on sig PC #2.

Drivers used to hate me. These days we seem to get along better. I wonder, is it me or is it the drivers??
 
Mafia II performs well.

I got about 2 hours of good no-crashes gameplay out of 10.12 on BC2, then it started crashing like hell (what else is new?). Seems like when I install new drivers, it irons out for about 2 hours and then hits the fan big time.

Haven't tried anything else yet.

um, the new 10.12a hotfix drivers are stable, but they report (in the information center) that they're 10.11 drivers... I even uninstalled, rebooted, ran DCpro, then reinstalled and I see the same thing. weird.

The Sapphire 6970 I bought today shipped with 10.11 drivers on the included software DVD. Seems to be running okay so far, no issues in any of the games I play (WoW, Civ5, Ut2k4). Though I'll eventually update to the 10.12 on the AMD website over the next day or so, see how that changes things.
 
The Preview 10.12 driver had this weird issue where every time UAC dimmed my desktop during a prompt it would black out my screen for 5-7 seconds. I just updated to the 10.12a and enabled MLAA for my 5870 and every thing seems fine. Just finished playing Just Cause 2 and performance was where it's always been.
 
no issues on my part. Im running a 4890 tho but i will prolly update to the hotfix anyways. ive actually seen an improvement with my 4890 over the 10.11 drivers. seems to run alot smoother

ok. I am now feeling stupid. even after carefully uninstalling, downloading 10.12a hotfix, (amd_catalyst_win7_vista_8.79.6.2rc2_dec9.exe) and reinstalling, i still see the 10.11 in the information center as i posted above. WTH am i doing wrong?

I get the same thing. Even Afterburner reports 10.11, but the 3D driver isn't the same that I had with 10.10e.

I also am not seeing the fancy new interface (not that i really care). Or is that a special beta download?
 
can you install the 10.12 hotfix over the current drivers or am i going to need to uninstall?

Either. It's easier to just install over the older ones, but you might have issues. I only completely uninstall current drivers if I have an issue, which is very rare.

i have this with certain flash sites that have moving banners or scroll areas.

BC2 has been flawless for me so far.
 
yeah. something is flat-out wrong. even with the CCC preview package (thanks for the link!) I still see the old interface, reporting the old 10.11 version. Time for some cleanin'

The link on AMD sites for the "10.12a Hotfix" links to amd_catalyst_win7_vista_8.79.6.2rc2_dec9.exe when it should be version 8.80 and a Date of Dec17 (I would assume)

Seem's their link is wrong

After some quick searching, it seems AMD's link points to a newer revision of 10.11, not a 10.12 build. They should get it sorted out by the morning.
 
Something else I noticed, it appears AMD has put back in the "Disable Catalyst A.I." checkbox after all the yelling and screaming by the internet

You'll have to mod the inf to get back MLAA and get the new Catalyst A.I. Texture settings for 5xxx cards. They're only officially supported on 6xxx with newer drivers.

Actually! if you scroll down on the AMD 10.12 download page to where the complete package, english-only version link is, it's the regular 10.12. installing these got me the right link!

It will disable all optimizations. On most games it help with performance without effecting I.Q., but on some games it can. I've always kept it at Standard, as turning it off didn't do anything other than lower performance in some games, as I guess they don't do aggressive optimizations for the games I play.
 
Has anyone had any serious system crashes that you associate with 10.12? Last night I upgraded to 10.12 vanilla from one of the 10.10 hotfixes, and since then I've had 2 crashes where the pc rebooted (unfortunately both times my monitor was switched to my Xbox 360 so I couldn't see if it was a BSOD or what). Prior to this my system has crashed 0 times in about 4 months with this clock... so of course I suspect the driver. Could still be my OC, but the driver's the latest change, so...
