This is the new build Im planning. Will OC. My budget is $1800 - $2000, and I'm going to order within the next week. I dont have an OS. I plan to use this to game, browse the web, listen to music, and watch movies. I am using three 23' at 1080p monitors (already own) hence the two GPUs. I am an audiophile, so the sound card is a must. I live in Murray KY (i know), please feel free to make any suggestions. I usually dont ask for advice on my builds but I think most of the people on this forum know what they are talking about and I would like to hear your thoughts, thanks in advance.

I would ditch the DDR3-2133 and just get DDR3-1600 instead. There is no performance difference with Sandy Bridge, so no point in paying for high speed RAM.

Likewise, unless you need the 2 extra SATA 6GB ports and the 1394 port, you can just get the vanilla P8Z68-V instead of the PRO.

Edit: You can save another $40 or so by getting a CoolerMaster Hyper 212+ (or EVO) instead of the Megahalems cooler.

In addition to what Forceman said, unless you're planning on using some of Windows 7 Pro's specific features, go with Windows 7 Home Premium instead. Same performance.

I would also pick a different GPU manufacturer, one that has at least a 3 year or higher warranty.

Such as this one:

It's has a longer warranty (Lifetime) and comes with a free game (Dirt3)
 
I recommend going with a low profile ram, I have a z68 board with vengeance sticks and I have clearance problems. Also, With sinking in so much money into GPUs I would wait for the new cards to come out next month, if for nothing more than the price drop.
 
I just wanted to thank the people that helped me build this comp, special thanks to Forceman, good suggestions. Heres a few pics of my build, i eneded up spending around 3,500 but im very happy with the end results. (i know my bezel comp is off)

Yeah what racing games do you play? I wanna make use of my steering wheel as well.

Also it looks like you are using a monitor stand for all three monitors, which one? How do you like it?
 
i play iRacing, Test Drive Unlimited 2, and Dirt 3. I like all of them as they bring somthing different to the table, for pure fun i enjoy Test Drive Unlimited 2, the sensation of speed is awesome on three screens. If you guys like racing games I suggest the Trackir 5 pro, adds a whole dimesion of immersion, works with flight sims to.

The mount im using is the Chief KTA325B, i didnt buy the pole attachment though, I used 1.5 in galvanized pipe and a 1.5 in floor flange and bolted it to my desk, i used a 1.5 in hole saw and made a hole in the desk where the pipe sits so i could feed the plugs wires ect through the bottom of my desk.

The end result is very nice and super sturdy. The monitors were very easy to align, I believe the total cost was about 200 bucks, i looked at other options and didnt like some of the bases, this setup has a small footprint, around 3 inches in diameter which keeps things looking tidy. If you would like I can post close up pictures of the desk, bolts, floor flange, ect so you can get a better idea of whats going on.

Thanks for the positive comments, good to have people out there that share my interest in computers. I live in Murray KY, dont bother looking it up on a map... Im about 99% sure that Im the only person in all of Murray to have a triple monitor setup, or a 7970, or g27 racing wheel, or an unhealthy love of computers.
 
Yes please do that. I'm planning to eventually turn my setup into a triple displays. Curious as to how I am going to mount the displays.
 
this first pic is from the top so you can see how the Chief mounts to the pole.

in this pic you can see the floor flange, and the bolts holding it down. the pole come threaded and it just screws into the floor flange, easy peasy.

and here you can see the bottom of the desk, i used self locking bolts with regular washers to add stability and strength, you can also see the hole i drilled out with the hole saw. I havent fed the wires through the bottom yet, i have to cut the pole shorter and paint the whole deal black so im not completely done yet, if you want another angle taken let me know and if you have any quetions ill help you to the best of my ability.

Oh just a little heads up, you can get the pipe, floor flange, bolts and washers for about 30.00 dollars, a big saviings over buying the base mount from chief, and the chief pole which are seperate items and would run about 100 bucks for both. So long as you know this is the way you want to go because it does require drilling a minimum of four holes into your desk, in my case it didnt hurt too much as my desk was only 60 bucks, but i like it so much im going to drill it into my galant desk when it gets here, to each their own though.
 
Yeah I'm not sure I'm gonna drill into my desk, it's got a nice leather/vinyl top that I don't wanna mess up. I'll probably just build a base using the same materials, but make a base that'll rest on the desk. Thanks for the idea though. ~$200 is cheaper than $250+ for sure.
