*sigh* It was on an upswing too, maybe if it had run for 30 more seconds...
 
It's a teaser pic from my upcoming post about my new storage setup. I ran iometer on 100% read 0% random 1MB transfers off a 20GB iSCSI target for 30 minutes to make sure that 20GB was completely cached on my RAID card and get an idea what performance might be. This was either 4 workers or QD 4 or 8 I honestly forget now as it wasn going to be part of my official test.

You need more drives and faster connectivity. To be truly elite you need 37337 MB/s :D
 
It's going to be a few more years before we have the bandwidth on the MB even available to be 31337... Because you'd need that much bandwidth available both for the network and storage subsystem, and dual socket 2011's only have ~36GB/s bandwidth in PCIe 3.0 mode...
