solid state drive

Hello, I wonder why when buying Sabrent SSD I get 1 year warranty automatically but I can get additional 4 years with free registration. Why can't I get all 5 years from start? And are additional 4 years of warranty worth it? This also applies to home appliances.

I am interested to know what's so special about thumb drive that lets it challenge SSDs. Are these comparable to external SSDs maybe? Are these thumb drives with similar longevity as SSDs? Sounds too good to be true. The one on picture is BlitzWolf brand
