Apple pushed out an updated version of its Safari browser last week correcting over 100 vulnerabilities. The update only covers OS X 10.8 and 10.7 and little else, exposing any and all versions from 10.6 on down and all Windows versions running Safari to known vulnerabilities and malware.

"There's no warning in either the browser itself or Apple Software Update on either [Windows or Snow Leopard] that Safari likely won't be updated," Long wrote. "Users have no way of knowing that their browser has at least 121 unpatched vulnerabilities and is no longer safe to use."

To the trash bin! I have it on one rig. Correction, I had it in one of my rigs.

Oh well. Safari was kind of a trashy browser for Windows anyway.

Safari is decent on the mac.

On Windows... it's a pile. Good thing they killed it off.

I've tried and tried again to like Safari on my MBP but it is absolutely horrid no matter what you pull it through. I'd rather use FF (as horrid as it is now IMO) than Safari. Good riddance.

Sweet, more unpatched software on users PC's.

More money, thanks Apple ;)
