Whatcha think ima bout ready to purchase my card but cant decide on which to buy.

Honestly, I say you sit tight for a bit and see what happens with Nvidia. I don't know if the GTX 670 will affect pricing of the mid-range cards, but it may.

I really like my 560 Ti's though, so my vote goes to that.

I think the 560TI is faster than the 6870.
But yeah the 7870 is better than all of them.

For $100 more, the 7870 ought to be better. Did you mean 7850? If so, that seems to about trade blows with a 560 Ti 448 (albeit a few dollars cheaper, depending on where you are shopping). 560 Ti beats a 6870, but that also comes in a few dollars more.

My guess is OP is looking for the best card he can for $200. If that's the case, Microcenter has a 560 Ti for $200 AR. I say go for that. If he can drop another $50, the 7850 makes sense.

im actually looking to spend about 300$ us on one. is the 570 that much better than the 560TI? i can get the 570 HD classified version for like 300$ vs the 560TI 448 one for like 294$

I think people are selling a used GTX 580 for ~$320 USD and a used GTX 570 for ~200 USD.

yea but the bad thing is u buy used u get no warrenty with it. and if it tears up ur screwed lol

Like the other guy said, wait until the GTX 670 comes out and see if that affects pricing before getting your next GPU.

P.S. I have seen a Zotac GTX 560 Ti for $170 USD after $30 USD MIR.

Hold on for a while. Once the rest of the GK104 chips are released the HD 7870 will drop to below USD 300. There is a rumour of

7 SMX, 4 GPC, 32 ROP, 192 GB, 915 Mhz - GTX 670 at USD 399
6 SMX, 3 GPC, 24 ROP, 144 GB, 1000 Mhz - GTX 660 Ti at USD 249.

get the HD 7870 OC edition at 1100 Mhz. Push it to 1200 Mhz and there you have GTX 580 performance with much lesser power. :D

i cant wait till then though im building my first gaming pc atm ive got all but card ordered and diablo 3 comes out in 8 days so. i need one now lol like today so thats why im asking what one i should get.

The 560 Ti 448 and the 570 appear to be almost identical. The 570 does have the edge, but were talking 1-3 fps gain at the most. I don't think there is any configuration where you'd see a gameplay advantage with either card. The 560 Ti 448 uses slightly less power though, which has the potential to make for cooler/quieter operation (though I think the cooling provided by the OEM can negate this, depending on which brand you go with.) My point is, either card is a fair choice, and your experience should be almost identical.

You can get a 560 Ti 448 for $267 (w/ $30 rebate and shipping) or a 570 for $280 (w/ $20 rebate, free shipping. I'd probably get the 570 since its only $13 more (and only $3 more up front, before messing with the rebate).

EDIT: Found a better deal on Amazon. $270 (after $20 rebate, free shipping) and it gets you a better dual-fan heatsink. I think this is the card for you.

I read your other thread and if you are gaming at 1366x768 then a GTX 560 will do.
If you are gaming at 1920x1080 then a GTX 570 will do for your price range of $300 USD.

P.S. Make sure your PSU (power supply) can support the GPU you choose to buy.
P.P.S. Diablo 3 FTW :D

yea ive got a 950w psu

and im thinking about going with a evga brand. or any suggestions on brand?

and im only gonna be gaming on 1366x768 for like a month till i can afford a new monitor then ill be buying me a new 1080p one.

EVGA sounds good to me.

Depends on the manufacturer. If it's a serial-based warranty then you should be fine.

Crossfire 6870's could be had for sub-300 and would be the highest performing setup. If a single GPU I would vote the 570 would be the highest performing. Performance per dollar I don't think you'll beat the 560ti with the current prices. Regardless, anything over a 6850 is going to run D3 at 60+ pretty easily. I had no slow downs in beta on my hardware.

Those cost too much. I've seen 448s as low as $197 and $220 was normal for months. 570s have been lower than $250.

Considering they use twice power, have less overclocking head room and cost more than 7850 I'd direct op to 7850 right now.

You would be doing your wallet a disfavor to not consider GTX 560 ti 448 or the HD7850.

The 560 Ti's are pretty good. I lucked out and got one that seems to clock very high with little juice added to it. I wouldn't spend more than $190 total for one though, so the decision should be made based on games you play and think you will play in the near future.

My last two cards have been AMD - 4870 and now a 6870. However the 6870 is a disappointment to me. Sure they perform good, but I have constant crashes with the 6870 that I'm still trying to sort out.

Plus nVidia has PhysX. My vote os for the 560Ti.

It doesn't seem like a fair comparison because the 6870 can be purchased for $140 after rebate and the cheapest 560 448 core is $260. A regular 560 Ti version is $203.

So, if you don't consider price, sure, the GTX 560 448 core is the card to get.
The poll basically says, which is better: $150 card or $200+ video card.

I don't think he was referring to the 448 Core version in the OP or poll.

either way, the 560 Ti is still $60 more expensive ($140+ 43%) than a 6870.

For <$150 cards, the 6870 is great.
For $200 cards, the 560 Ti is great (but I'd choose a used 6950 2GB at $200).

I'd go with an EVGA GTX 480 from newegg for $209. I am extremely happy with mine. It trades blows with the GTX 570 and mine runs cool. I got one with a stock 1.025v and was able to overclock it to 825/2000 without raising the voltage. It idles in the mid 40's and load ranges from upper 60*C to upper 70*C

Best bang for the buck IMO. People complain about the heat, power, and noise, but I think most of them have probly never even used a GTX 480 in real life. Mine hardly ever goes above 60% fan and heat hasn't been an issue at all. I couldn't careless about power....my 620w PSU is plenty

If you buy evga cards used off someone who purchased it after I think July of 2011 the warranty is transferable. Also most people are willing to help with RMAs if need be.
