buy a fat new heatsinc and fan for th cpu
use stock AMD (70mm) fan and a zalman blue 47 thing - works wonders, and is silent as fuck it only runs at 3000 ish rpm, but being 70mm it is quiet compared to smaller fans
using a probe type thing, little digital readout attatched to a temp sensor on a wire, you can get em off ebay for like £5 attatched to the underside of the heatsinc.
found that if you add a couple of those little red washer things you get with motherboards to the back of your mobo round the...
instead of micro fans, anyone tried a laptop blower type fan?
i really think someone needs to make a decent nforce 4 cooler
the temps on my nf4 are like 40ish according to a little thermometer i have, and windows has started crashing, tellimg me i'm overclocking, and i'm not (anymore)
i've had this motherboard since jan, and i changed the chipset fan for a new zalman blue thingie, its all fitted and it seems to work, but the air inside the case seems a lot hotter than before
i was just wondering wether anyone has done this recently, or has some temps i can use for...
whats the best ram timings / mem speed for this board, i have corsair twinx xlpro 3200 1024mb ram , currently running at 210 mhz (420ddr) @2.2.2.5, would higher mhz and higher timings be better overall?

basically what i wanna know, is this good or bad.....
fsb / dram : cpu/22
on cpu z mem page
i'm running a 3500 @ stock
corsairxlpro 3200 (2.2.2.5)
it seems to be running @ timing, but if that 22 means its running at half of my 11x fsb multiplyer, that means its a cpu 1 / dram 2...

but can the second sli port be used for 1x standard pci-e stuff if not in sli mode
or have i misunderstood the manual
if it is its a nice thing to have
thanks for answering
yeah, it was just a thought, i knew i'd seen it somewhere.
in that case its probably the hard drives firmware then, and not the board
think about it, it possibly could just be that.....
if you and someone else have different firmware and one isnt compatable, and its the most widely...
a while ago (while i was researching what i should put into my new pc) i stumbled across a post about maxtor sata hard drives not working properly with some sata products, apparently this was because they were bridged ata 133 devices, rather than native sata, maybe this is still true, and its...
if the zalman doesnt interfere with the gfx cards i may purchase one, because that fan is way too loud, , what gfx cards are you using btw?
i have a leadtek 6800gt, and it doesnt look like theres any chance that that'd fit in with a big heatsink in the way
