I'm trying to sync one of my network shares to OneDrive.
I've created a symbolic link in my one drive folder to the network share - \\server\documents.
When you first launch OneDrive, it will sync everything properly.
After this initial sync, it stops syncing completey in either direction...
I'm in Canda right now, and to access Spotify and Netflix as well as blackout free games I'm changing my DNS servers to tunlr. That being said, if you use it too much as a general DNS they block you for a while.
So I was thinking... why not have custom DNS rules at the router level based on...
So I have a couple of extra receivers floating around, and want to add sound to my patio without using Zone 2 on my receiver. I also have a billion extra PC's floating around too.
That being said - is there a media player I can hook up to the receiver that is controllable by android? So for...
I live in a 600 square foot house on waterfront property. Presently I have my server/cheapo router in the bedroom but it gets too hot and want to move everything into the crawlspace. Crawlspace has concrete floor and is about 40 inches tall. I don't mind going down there every now and then...
Looking to get a technet subscription and build a new server supporting Hyper-V. Want to run 2008 Server R2 with Hyper-V and toy around with multiple vm's of Server OS's in various roles, while also having my WHS V2 in a VM.
Problem is i need to do this on the relatively cheap. Is a 1055T...
I've been tasked with creating a backup solution for a medical office of 6-8 computers. Each computer is only 75gb right now but will be replacing many of the hard drives as they are throwing SMART errors.
My initial plan was to go with a NAS device (LG or QNAP?) and installing Acronis for...
Ran into a strange problem yesterday that is frustrating the hell out of me.
I rebooted the server in my closet which has a Seagate 500 gb hard drive as it's pain drive as I installed the latested PS3 Media Server but it wasn't working properly. Upon reboot, Server 2003 wouldn't load...
The network:
Dlink DIR 655
Server running Windows Server 2003
XBOX running XBMC
The problem:
When I'm streaming video from my server to my Xbox, every half an hour or so the entire network will go down for a couple of seconds and I'll have to reload the movie and fast forward to...
I think it's the motherboard, not sure....
Just built a new computer, wired everything up, turned it on, worked fine. Cycled through a few POST's, booted the Hiren boot cd, worked fine. Had to go grab some system disks, turned it off went and grabbed them. Came back, computer doesn't turn...
Yet another stupid cabling question...
Was at Homedepot looking at Cat 5e cable. *Finally* figured out by myself the difference betweeen CMX/CMR/CMP and all that jazz but couldn't figure out if the calbe was solid core or not. Now, what I want ot do is buy ONE roll (500 feet or so) of calbe...
Is there any sort of laws I should be aware of when running cat 5e cable in my house (single level dwelling, small in size, one floor)?
I'm located in Ontario, Canada FYI.
Can't decide between the two - WHS and Server '03. Originally got a box (2 500gig hard drives, SFF case to start) and was going to use as a media server initially with Windows Home Server, and also backup my desktop and laptop. Lately, I'm considering changing my mind and going with server...
Ok, so I'm looking at the AS8 from Abit. Looked at a picture of the motherboard and noticed it only had 2 SATA connectors. Is it like IDE where I can connect 4 IDE devies to two connectors? Or can I only really connect 2 SATA devices? I had planned on getting two 160 gig drives and RAID 1...
I can't decide what to get, Athlon 64 or Pentium 4.
I've already got a gig of DDR RAM (Kingston Value), and a 6600GT AGP card, so I'm somewhat limited in my motherboard choice.
It's either an MSI Neo2 Plat, or an ABIT AS8, as far as I can tell, with the subsequent processor. I just can't...
For the last couple of weeks or so, my Linksys router will cut out once every five minutes - well, it will cut out my internet connection. I can still connect to my router when it's been disconnected from the net.
It seems to last long enohgh for MSN to disconnect, and then everything is...
My current rig, a 1.6 Northwood, is about ot get upgraded. I went with Intel last time around because my previous AMD setup was unreliable and a general pain in the ass. The Intel combo has been, for me, rock solid over the last couple of years.
I'm looking at either the 3200+ S939, or...
