2GB is plenty for an HTPC

Just bought Mass Effect 2 online and should have it within a few days. 2.8Ghz Phenom X3 with 4GB DDR2 and a 9800GT on Windows 7 Home Premium. Will it play smoothly on my 22" widescreen LCD?

I'd say the Dominator would be a no brainer ......... very expensive though.

It is compatible and should work fine at default speeds. You plan on overclocking? If so I would get faster memory.

Your motherboard requires a special bracket. A standard AM2 bracket will not fit. Trust me on this one. You will have to go to Asrock to order it.

5770 would be the way to go but they are a little over $100. 4850 1GB is right at $100 now. Could probably pick up a used 4870 for about $100 also. On the Nvidia side a 9800GT 1GB is about $100 right now. I would get a DX11 card if I were you ...

I use several XP programs in Win 7. No problems whatsoever, don't even use compatability mode. I'm sure there are XP progs that have issues with 7 though.
