I am thinking these temps are pretty high for the HSF and fan i have on my processor. At idle I sit around 42C and at load 55C. My room temp is around 25-30C it heats up quick when the air goes off. Run a p4 3ghz not overlcocked or anything with a SP-94 and a Panaflo 90mm. I see other...
I have the exact same Mb and hsf you are thinking of getting. only difference is i have the p4 3.0, installing it? If you are comfortable working inside a computer and removing the stock p4 hsf brackets than its not too bad really. Just be carefull when you are removing those brackets i had...
I've always run seagates, never had a drive fail on me once. Had a 4 gig driving sitting on a shelf for 2 years and put it in my old old pc and its still running to this day. Note the other drive in the PC is a WD that is just as old and still works only it has slowed way down and clinks and...
I got the new thermaltake tsunami case and its actually not loud at all, take your normal small oscilating fan on a low speed and that drowns out the case sound, running a seagate 160 gig sata baracuda and i never hear it, though case has rubber absorbers or whatever so that reduces noise, heard...
Box setup and ready to go.
Abit IC7-G mb with an intel p4 3.0ghz 800mhz fsb proc, 1 gigabyte of corsair XMS Extreme Memory Extra Low Latency, 160 GB Seagate baracuda sata hd, radeon 9800 pro
first off it isnt artic silvers fault, worse comes to worse throw on the old heatsink and rma it, hopefully its one of those ati certified or whatever cards, im not sure on the termanology there but if you go to the ati site and go to rma it talks all about it. If it is then they are pretty...
Ah ok, thanks for that information, they have an unregistered version of that then? Im about to go look, tired of this kingston valueram I have in my system now, any other brand names i should look into? Running a Abit IC-7 max II advance board with an intel p4 3.0 ghz processor. Prolly...
Anyone seen a review or running this memory in your system?
Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, Low Latency 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) ECC Registered DDR PC-3200LL - Retail
It looks like it could be some pretty nice stuff but I have never heard of XMS, just throwing it out there.
You don't find the plastic front of this case annoying? I have almost bought this thing a few times but can't click submit because of the front profile of the case. Gonna wait for the thermaltake tsunami to hit the US. However from the side view i love it, nice job.
Yea, heatsink was the mod.
Temps are,
At idle
Sys 30 deg C, CPU 41 C, pwm 32 C
after 30 minutes to an hour of benchmarks
sys 35 deg C, CPU 46 C, pwm 37 C
After heatsink installation
This is after its all back together and a minute before firing it back up.
Note, I dropped my proc temp 8 degrees C, sys temp 10 degrees C and pwm temp 15 degrees C? That last one suprised me, would alot better airflow cause that? I took the time to tie up...
Anyone ever had a problem with the Enermax Black/Silver 5.25" Temp. Monitor w/ Fan Controller Rev. 2? If you own one is it worth around 50 dollars it costs? I think it looks really nice myself and am thinking of getting one. Thanks for the input.
Looking for a nice looking case, with a side window and a mb trey are the 2 things I am really looking for. 120mm fan slots already installed would be a plus. I would wait for the thermaltake tsunamis to come out but I don't know if they have a mb trey or not. I sent them an email asking but...
Right now I am thinking of throwing a 92mm Vantec Tornado on this but I don't know if I wan't something that noisy running all the time. I heard if you put them on a fan controller and turn them down to 3000rpm they run really quiet and still move alot of air. Just wondering what anyone would...
