Selling two of these cards. I'll sell them shipped for $200 each, or $375 together as a pair. Good for mining.
Payment Method: Google Wallet
PM if interested.
Hey guys. I'm still rocking 2 7970s in crossfire in my rig. I've been looking at all sorts of announcements and I'm wondering if it's even worth upgrading at this point? I've had these cards for like 4 years now, and now I have a nice new 4k TV in the living room. These cards are hot and...
I had really bad jittering and what seemed like low frame rates until I used this borderless windowed mode script. now the game is silky smooth.

I'm in and have my tag already. Can't wait. Now if someone would just make a great new space combat sim [ala X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter] I'll have all my gaming needs satisfied, lol.
Same here. Max during gaming was about 83c, and that was the top card in my crossfire config. Bottom card is about 78c max. I boil that down to the top card nearly sitting on top of the bottom card though, doesn't make for great airflow. Here is a pic.

Just thought I'd show some pics of my latest build here.

Hey guys. Just put together a new rig over the weekend and ran into a big of a snag. I have the MSI X79MA-GD45 m-atx board in a Fractal Design Define Mini case, along with a Corsair H80 cooler and 16gb of G-Skill Ripjaws ddr3 1600. Problem is, when I have all 4 dimms populated [4x4gb] the...
I'm getting annoyed. I pre-ordered a Sapphire 7970 on the 3rd, it said it would ship on the 9th. Now they are telling me it will ship today, but I still haven't seen any movement. I also have an XFX ordered with TigerDirect, but that one eventually changed to backordered as well...
Hehe, hence my complete lack of knowledge on the subject. I was just going by what the manufacturers of custom systems were going for. I had configured a few machines in excess of $2000 with liquid cooling. I'm guessing I was off the mark completely with how much money I want to spend on this...
1. What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming
2. What's your budget? Could probably go up to $3,000 (raise, xmas bonus, tax refund)
3. Where do you live? I live in Northern NJ. We have Micro Center, but my friend builds/fixes PC's for a living, so we have access.
4. What exact parts...
After getting a solid state drive in my new laptop and seeing the boot and loading times, I will NEVER build another system without an SSD as the OS drive!
Unfortunately I think that would be a bit overboard for what I need. I'll only be doing some light gaming on it, as I have my desktop for that. It looks amazing though.
I thought you can install Windows 7 on a Mac now natively and not through Boot Camp or emulation. Are the GPU and battery issues still the same if that's the case?
I currently have an HP DV9000T that has lasted me nearly 4 years. Thing is a workhorse, but the dual core Centrino inside is starting to get a bit long in the tooth. I've been looking for about a week now at all different laptops to replace it. Many of the 17" laptops available are...
This was released a few weeks ago.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do routes based on it. But at least you have access to the maps.
Do you have a widget or service that is running? For the most part "awake" and "screen on" mimic each other, except when my weather widget needs to refresh itself every hour, even if the screen is off. Try going into settings>applications and choose "running" and see what is there.
Rooted here. Did it the third day I had the device. I've had it about a month now and loving it. I froze a bunch of non-essential system apps [like the asus radio app, remote desktop, etc.] using Titanium backup so they don't run in the background. I'm also running on the PRIMEordial 3.1...
It was mostly performance tweaks. The launcher is really smooth now, as well as browser scrolling and home screen scrolling. They added in the up and down arrows on the wifi signal indicator to show when data is transferring and when it is just idle. 1st party widgets are now re-sizable ala...
Looks like 3.1 for the TF leaked over on xda. They already got a version working that keeps root. I may try this out tomorrow, but the guy who does the Prime! rom is already working on an optimized version. Initial reports seem to show very improved flash and youtube app performance, as well as...
Well, it is textured, but it is still just plastic. The poster was just wondering if we didn't like anything. I have the official Asus folio case and it works great.
Video playback gets a bit better with the overclock kernal, and I think Honeycomb 3.1 is going to have more tweaks and enhancements.
The tablet specific app problem I think is because the devs were behind the curve. For the past few months, the only HC tablet out there was the XOOM, and I...
Yea, mine is solid as well. I have one light bleed (which almost every screen has) but that's it. Mine doesn't creak or feel cheap. And with the custom rom and kernal, this thing flies.
There are also a couple of multi-touch test apps in the market that could figure out dead spots pretty easily. There is one I grabbed for my TF that is specifically 10-point multi-touch.
Different strokes for different folks. I find myself using the Transformer when I get home from work to do my browsing, music, youtube, facebook, any quick things. I haven't turned my laptop on in a few days now.
As for the issues you listed, I haven't had them. I am on the latest firmware...
Yes. Mine is running fine. I've had one bout of force closes since last night, but I've had those on the stock rom without an over clock too, I chalk it up to the current state of honeycomb.
That engadet article has actually become a point of contention in this thread over at xda, mostly...
No difference in temperature. From what I can tell the battery is a little worse, but that is understandable as there hasn't been much voltage tweaking yet. I'm running v1.2 @ 1.4ghz now. Running pretty great.
Hell yea! I was running all last night at 1.4ghz on the v1.0 kernal located here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090510
Really great working going on now. I'll have to install v1.1 when I get home today. It has some voltage tweaks.
For anyone who is annoyed with the short charge cord, I purchased this one on Amazon and it works perfect. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003YNQ6DK - 6ft USB3.0 extender cable. I only link to this one because I have it and know it works. It seems there are a few out there that have problems.
I actually found that the [H] Forum works perfectly when opened in the browser with "Tablet" selected as the user agent. It fits the screen exactly and all the functionality and scrolling is super smooth.
Apps have a feature since 2.1 [or 2.1, I forget] called "Move to SD". it will move the install from the internal memory to the sd card. Haven't tried it yet on my TF though, it is a bit different because the file system reads the internal memory as "sdcard" directory, and the micro SD you...
