its kinda hard when you dont know the actual source from where these images came from. as i said, i found these on some random website. that website claimed no ownership or claimed to have take the pictures. i just downloaded what was on that page, and decided to make a wallpaper out of it...
my friend had the same problem with his ultra.
first install the nforce driver suite (install everything except the firewall), then reseat your vid card. we did that to his setup and it worked like a charm. :)
I also have the same setup as he and you, and I never had a problem as such...
i ended up getting a linksys befsx41 (good firewall protection), so far its been problem free. I also had teh same intention as you. get a wired firewall then upgrade later with a nice wirless router. today I integrated a wrt54gs, with no real problems. never delt with d-link or netgear.
my BFG 6800 Ultra has the same bios that is pictured in your screenshot. I have 5.40.02.05.12 bios. I also have never had any problems with the power required by that card. I have never ever seen that power sentinal message (I have had my card since June 8th). I actually have my card running...
BFG 6800 Ultra OC -> 450/1.2
no sweat, no artifiacts, no real problems.
tested using two hours of hdr demo then gaming with farcry for a tad more.
idle 63C load 86C
there are a lot more pixels that need to be processed. so yes this is normal. my bfg 6800 ultra (450/1.2) also suffers from some slow down in farcry. the game is demanding @ such a high resolution.
well... honestly, I am not concerened with my temps. i believe they are in the normal operating range for the cards. I also think the bigger cooler does help alot with the cooling. its case setup which is leading to my high temps. my wavemaster has poor internal circuialtion.
