Ah, found it in March's issue. Says just hook up to usb port, and windows will automatically search for the drivers. They have XP drivers on the Microsoft website. Also, they used the 93.81 beta drivers from Nzone.
Anyone know if the Zalman VF-700 will fit on the X1950 Pro agp version. The reason I ask is because I have the fan on my X800XT PE and I'm thinking of taking it off and putting it on my 1950 pro. I did check the website and it really doesn't say anything about compatibility with the x1900...
Yeah, I'm not much of an overclocker. Was just mainly wanted a temp read. Tried the automated overclock and I got a wopping 3 mnz on the memory only. I'm looking to get a Zalman cooler for this thing. Thanks again.
Hey John, I have you to thank for even having this card. I happened upon your post about it being up on newegg. Anyways, I am using the version from the AMD website that are specifically for this card. I'm wondering if I click the unlock buton on overdrive, Is that what I need to do? Sounds like...
I have not had ATI tray tools installed and ATI overdrive is greyed out for me. There have been people on other forums that say if they overclock the memory at all they get black screens.
Ok sorry, I went back to read some of your posts from yesterday. I'm not an expert, but am going by some things I read in different forums. Have you gone to Sapphiretech.com? Try there for some info, and maybe someone can help you there. One thing though, I had issues with ATI Tool before...
Sorry, but have you tried to play games? I can't see why you would buy a card just to run ATI Tool. Are you talking about the overclocking utility on ATI Tool that made your screen go black? These cards donot take any overclock on the memory, or you will get the black screen you described.
The bios thing I wouldn't worry about. I have same and it's a known issue. I guess I wouldn't call it an issue. When I saw it I was worried, but then found out alot of people who have these cards see the same thing and it doesn't affect how the card works. I'm not sure, but thought I read that...
I know eventually I will have to upgrade. This card gives me what I want and that is improved image quality with maybe a few frames more per second. Overall I am happy with my card. It will give me time to watch direct x10, and quad core CPUs play it self out.
What I mean to say is for example Medievel Total War 2. With my x800xtpe I was averaging around 30- 40 fps. That's with everything on medium. So say I crank everything to high I am averaging about the same fps. This won't hold true to all games. the x800 xt pe is a very good card and can hold...
If you are looking for improved framerates, you will not see what you think. Especially if you are looking to improve visual quality. You won't get both with this card. I have it, and like it very much. Although my x800xt pe was a very good card, it will be an either or situation with the x1950 pro.
