Nforce's Soundstorm has been compared to the Audigy 1 in terms of performance/quality. Have you tried that latest drivers? While not as good as my Audigy 2, the nforce sound (that I used for awhile) was pretty decent. It's considered by many one of the best integrated sound solutions.
Incorporating a fighting model (punches and what not) into the FPS kind drew me in... that and grabbing a guy's gun and forcing him to blow his head off, that just never got old. lol
X-Fire also has a decent server list and bypasses the intro screens, of course all these third party applications do take up resources which might be better off used by this system heavy game.
A better tactic is to stick it on the gunners viewport, so he can't see a thing. lol Of course with the next patch this won't be as effective, so do it while you can. ;)
I like playing because all my friends play it, but for the most part it's to prove to them, once again, that I'm better then they will ever be. Once that Gold Star with my name pops up and I start doing my happy dance they know who's king of the battlefield.
In short, so I can be a jerk. :D
try sniping with the pistol, it's accuracy is really dead one at range. The only problem is finding the "sweet spot" on the iron sights as each faction has it at different locations.
I got both my knife and pistol basic/veteran badges at the same time, a couple seconds apart for each. It probably depends on the server more than anything. As that's what determines what ranks are updated.
Another TIP:
Wait till you have close to 50 knife/pistol kills. That way when you kill 7 guys with each weapon you get the Basic AND Veteran badges at the same time.
Have you tried the SF unlock Support gun, the MG36? It's pretty damn accurate with a good rate of fire and nice stopping damage. If you have the expansion, or find the kit laying around somewhere I suggest you give it a try.
that's pretty good, you seem to like Spec Ops... nothing wrong with that. :)
I suggest getting the DAO-12 as your next unlock, then you'll really see the power of the Anti-Tank class.
I don't want to spend any more money on this HTPC, it's a hobby not a money pit. The PSU is fine for what I need, except it is a little too loud. I do have some low flow Panaflos that I might be able to use to replace one of the fans. Thought I suck at knowing which wires to cut/use.
It...
I've got a Tt 420w PSU that I just put into my HTPC and frankly it's too loud. It has two fans inside it and I was thinking of disabling one of them to quite things down. My question is should I disable the fan that is pulling air from the bottom of the unit (from inside my case) or disable the...
The biggest difference I found was Port Forwarding (default 6881 for torrent programs). Once I forwarded the port in my router I got 5-10 times faster torrent downloads. If you haven't already done this I suggest you try it out.
Also, uTorrent is a great program.
I was afraid that might be the case, I got it back from Epox after RMAing it for having bad capacitors (they started leaking). Epox said everything was fine after they "fixed" it, bah. I haven't had a chance to try it out again until now since I just bought new ram. At first I thought it was PSU...
I'm updating my HTPC with the following specs:
refurbished Epox 8RDA+
Athlon 1600+
512MB PC3200 Kingston
420w Tt PSU
(currently using Voodoo3 PCI for testing purposes)
Everything went all right with the system booting up, and I can enter the BIOS, but on the bootup screen is shows my...
BF2 on high texture settings uses 1.2gigs of RAM, if you only have 1GB than your computer will be using your HDD to swap, thus causing performance decrease. Really you only need about 1.5 gigs but it's best to have a full 2gig since you probably have other programs running in the background...
