I'm still using my Titanium HD too, though my system is at least as old as the card. Though I'm putting together a new Ryzen system, I'll give the on-board audio a chance at first. Most likely I'll go back to what I'm used to until they stop making drivers for it.
Hmmm, looking for info on these, just because I have a few days left on doing a Step-up from a 1060 to a 2060, but the only 2060 option they offer is the cheapest single fan option. I guess for $70 more, I should still do it anyway.
So what purpose do refresh rate options serve from in-game menus?
For example, I use a 120 Hz display. In many games when they give you a resolution option, they give you refresh rate options too. Such as my GOTW, the Overwatch beta. I can choose 1920x1080 @ 119, 109, 99, and I forget how...
Once in a while I run into someone giving this info, but then I lose track of what thread it was.
I've got a Titanium HD and some Senn 598s that I use for music and gaming. I just usually turn off CMSS for music and turn it on for games. What should my speakers in the Windows control panel...
Anyone emailed RSI before? I submitted a question about the upgrade via their webform, and I got an acknowledgment email and another email asking me to create a password. Was just curious if that was normal, I'm paranoid enough about getting emails asking me to create new accounts. You'd...
So what's the current status on selling ships/accounts? I may be getting hard up for money, sigh, and might need to sell my Digital Pirate LTI package, though hopefully they'd let me pay the difference to bump my Aurora LX LTI add-on to a full package for me to keep. How do you go about doing...
Yeah, I'd call them a little heavy, though it seems like after wearing them for a few minutes, they're not as heavy as you feared, but I wouldn't want to wear for more than 2 hours. That's why my Senn 598s are my primary. As it is, if I'm playing a MMO, I'll try going with my display speakers...
I'm waiting for modmic to get things going, which fingers crossed, sounds like it may finally be happening with the 4.0 coming out in the next few months.
I'd agree with a 598 because it's so comfortable, but that's out of your price range. I do like Sony V6s, those were the first real phones I ever owned, in part because it was the most popular phones at the radio station I worked at. That said, when I finally left the V6 for my first open...
Had to check where I had bought mine, I got mine via Steam, never downloaded. So downloading now. Tactics is downloading ok, but the other 2 stop and says "update required"? I'll play with this once the tactics is done.
Ah, never mind, it's fine. What I was seeing was I was queuing up the...
I had to RMA a stick of those Tracers once, I was running 4 of them. Then my memory went bad again. Didn't bother with it again, just haven't used Crucial since. I've stuck to Corsair and now Samsung, thanks to ASUS' early FW that wouldn't let the Corsair RAM I initially bought pass testing.
Agreed, that's my rule of thumb, though really only if I'm testing in the day. Mainly I just let it run over night, though once you get to 16GB, you have to run it that long just to get at least 3 passes.
I'm glad I got my metal Freelancer citizen card, even if I don't have a Freelancer any more. :) Freelancer is still a better title for what I'll do than "pirate" (there was no pirate card, AFAIK)
What issues are you having? I'm not having anything I can't live with, which is mainly some flashing, using 2 cards. That's after all the lil tweaks like disabling overlays and making sure the game is running at Normal priority.
Updated my EFI, the version I was using was about a year old. Looks like it helped, I'm about to do 2000 10-10-10 easily now, I had to fight to get 1866 previously. Only done 4 or 5 hours of memtest so far, but 2133 11-11-11 would fail quickly.
I'd say not at all, considering on this last build, I went through multiple pieces of Corsair RAM that ASUS had listed on the compatibility list, wasting my time and money. Sent it all back, picked up some Samsung at Fry's, works fine. Later on I got an email that a BIOS update should have...
I need to get back to testing mine again, I've always had problems getting it to OC and be stable, though that could be BIOS to for all I know. Guess I should see how far out mine is, though I hate to screw with something that's working for the most part.
I ended up trading my Freelancer for the Digital Pirate package and then added an Aurora LX just to have both a 2nd ship and a ship with a jump drive that has LTI. Plus at least I have a ship I can sit in instead of my Cutlass ride. It hurts feeding quarters into that Cutlass!
I'm strongly leaning towards ditching my Freelancer and getting a Cutlass and adding an Aurora LX for exploration. The Cutlass looks like it'll be the jack-of-all-trades that'll fit my "can't decide what I want to do" thinking. :P
I love my Senn 598s, they were a steal on sale for 175. That said, they DO lack a bit of bass, so for those times I want to listen something very bassey, say I'm in the mood for some wubwub, I have a pair of cheap ($40) closed JVC HARX700 that I use for that.
Wow, really glad I decided to stick with Win 7 now. As it is, I still have hassles with my TiHD drivers, I'll start getting the "crxfihlp has crashed" message, and I have to reinstall the drivers again to clear it until the next time. I think letting Geforce drivers install the geforce audio...
10.9 gives me graphical glitching on my mid-2010 Mini. Did clean install too. Made a new partition and installed Lion (I had been on 10.6 previously) and I'm not having the issue with Lion.
Yeah, that's about my era, mid 80s to early 90s. Basically, when tables got to the point that you get over a million on one ball easily, that's when they went down hill to me.
I wish there was some way to buy tables at a discount for other versions. I have the majority of tables for iOS and some on Sony, I don't really want to spend money again for the PC version. I'll probably give in and buy a few favorites for the PC, sigh.
That's why I love that Citibank and BOA let you generate virtual card numbers for the credit cards, I wish all banks did it. I always generate virtual numbers for my Citibank card.
I wish they'd give OBers the ability to buy ships with LTI AFTER the dogfight module comes out. How else are we going to know we like the ships we got? I bought a Freelancer, I just hope I don't regret going with a Hornet. I'm not totally sure in what way I'll play. I just kind of think like...
I had an issue with my system where it started to randomly turn off on me, and wouldn't turn on until I powered off the PSU for a moment.
After trying out all the different HW options I could think of short of the CPU and mobo, it turned out to be a SW problem. AIDA64 + ASUS Fan controller...
V6's are heavy, I don't think I'd want to wear them at the computer for long periods. V6 were the first real phones I bought back in the early 90s, I was working in radio then and most everyone else used them. It wasn't until 10 years later that I decided to get my first Sennheisers and was...
Honestly, I think the Reds fail as much as any modern drive. Which is more than back in the good ol' days, but that's the way they are.
A friend bought 5 from NE in the past month and one failed out of the box. I bought 3 from NE when they first came out during the Summer and 2 more from...
The one time I ever noticed any whine was when I got a new video card for my system, I'm not sure if that was the 580 or the one before it. Probably the 580. Ended up replacing the Corsair 650 PSU I had with a Seasonic X750, whine went away. Shrug.
I started having a problem where the HDD being cached on the Marvel controller wouldn't show up in windows, but both the HDD and SDD show up during the in the Marvel BIOS during boot. I could tell when it wouldn't work when the computer gets stuck at the Windows screen. Sometimes waiting 5-10...
