3dgame man reviews, rodney reynolds, i just find it hilarious when he uses the "rodney" lines. bunch of us at work always quote him at random times and we all just crack up. nothing negative about him, if anything a compliment as he has coined some phrases as his own.
look them up on...
Well those are just minor annoyances that come with any forum. I agree with you, but quoting pics is by far the most inconsiderate thing to do to other forum users IMO.
I guess you could lump me in to the "whiners who create threads to bitch". I just got to a snapping point yesterday night...

Currently looking at that one, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations based on ones they have used.
Things it HAS to have -
DVI In and out
Speaker
USB for mouse/kb
Softkeys would be nice, but I'm fine...
Every @$*&#^ thread on every page of a multi page thread and sometimes MULTIPLE times on the same page someone always quotes someones pics, usually 15 pics in the quote, and responds with "Oh I like what ya did there".
Just "UserName" and get rid of the pics, write your 2 cents and post it...
If you flip them you must redrill holes on the bottom of the case. While you're at it might as well separate them for a space for a 120mm fan. I am only using one of the caddies though so i didn't have to go that far.
As for the black edging, you can find it at most mod shops. C strip...
what? This is done already and only 1 pic of the final build? I remember reading this 'This thread will comprise of not just one build but a continuous log updated with pictures for your viewing enjoyment" and thinking ok cool, he is dropping the murderbox name, and now we will see what the...
colts sticker approved! Must be another enthusiast from Indy? Good to have another indy person around.
Different for sure!! I'll wait to see it in action though to give it deuce thumbs up
Nate
Because he was just setting up a photoshoot to lure all of us in to this commercial for the murderbox
There should be a filter, like a DVR for threads, to skip all the commercials (pics/words) so you can just jump into the gooey center of the actual log.
zinnggggg! ;)
nate
Can't wait for the build, but the last pic just made this post seem like a commercial..I dunno...you thank the [H] and pitch murder then cut out by posting a drama teaser shot?
I mean what modder sets up a photoshoot like this???
1 answer...one that is AWESOMEEEEEE
On a sidenote, I've...
$50 to do my complete full tower Rocketfish lili @ www.indypowdercoating.com
Had it down last sept., this included them sandblasting a coat of crap rattle can off the entire frame as well. Dropped it off, 3 days later it is a beaut...sorry to whore her out again...

Lots changed since these were taken, need to take some better shots...
1st, my gfs RF. Back in page 5 or so you might of remembered her sleeving in hot UV pink and the window. She replaced the stock LEDS with PINK led's from a local radio shack and wired them up herself as well. Well, the...
i would stick with the monoprice cable, that white cable looks like a cheap plenum knock off and i can almost bet money that the center conductor and shielding is not adequate for nice RG6 comp. fittings.

I upgraded my 680i system to this board last month and so far I have no issues. I strayed away though from the sata 1/2 ports as they are labeled "Speeding". Like you I installed it as an upgrade, OS was existing *Vista Ult. 32x.
I'm running several drives, CDROMS are on the IDE channel x2...
i bought 4 of the LED black fans (like the ones on the hyper212 HSF) off the online store and received them promptly in 3 buss. days.
They never sent an email with tracking info, and the package was shipped USPS. Packaging was nice, no damage, and all fans worked and are still working...
www.indypowdercoating.com my friend!
This was like 6months ago and they were like "Uh...a pc case? Why?...If its metal we can do it so sure!"
Awesome service, took 2 days total turnaround time as they have to sandblast it, powder it, then bake.
Not a bad price though at all from what...
Local PowerCoating company here in Indy called Indy Powder Coating coated my full tower RocketFish Lian Li for under $55.
I actually tried painting it but with crappy weather and being way too finicky i decided to have it powdered. The paint/sandpaper supplies and time in my opinion was way...
TV sets will work behind very crappy signal. If you are running a digital/hd/dvr it might not lock down, but for just basic cable signal isn't that much of an issue.
Online devices such as MTA (phone modem) and regular modems though should be off the first splitter and preferrably off of a...
Rg6 is plenty adequate, working on homes that have rg6quad sucks to work on. putting fittings on is a pain.
I've also seen more issues with the quad shield on outside cable runs that with the standed RG6. Replacing fittings on some quad shield i've seen the cable swell in size and...
I work for comcast and this is what i recommend -
Main feed off ground block that enters house, install 2way splitter. 1 leg of a 2wy splitter has a 3.5db drop and all splitters should be used should be 5-1000mhz in freq. (gold doesn't = good quality, and IMO radioshack splitters are the...
Cool build, sucks about your case though. Mine also had the plastic clip on one of the sidepanels snapped off. I didn't do anything about it though because it really doesn't do any harm to anything.
my IO shield was straight...sounds like someone dropped it or something, that sucks...
How can you not have VESA mounts? How can your stand ONLY tilt BACKWARDS!! You're 24 G*&D&*N inches, you have to atleast have a stand that goes up/down...not even that!!!
So, should I keep this awesome looking screen that has me sitting way high at an uncomfortable angle and will work even...
Niiiice. I like how you also sleeved the individual wires for the GPU Power. One thing I missed on my build...did the 24pin but neglected that, what was i thinking!! Time to rip it out and sleeve it
Nate
I have the case and thermals are great. running x2 black amd edition oc'ed to 3.3, 2gb gskill, yada yada and a 8800gts, runs great and its just used for my living room to watch movies off my server or surf the net. also sounds good as its connected through my Bose system.
i bought this and...
Here is the info -
Model: BFGR98512GTXOCE SKU: 8800372
I called my local bestbuy and they were out of stock. Had them check all the stores in the Indiana area and the cheapest was in Bloomington priced @ $185.
Again, BB prices clearance items at different rates depending on the...
its quite easy to drill out rivets and re-rivet it, man up and break out the modding man! Sucks, but doing that shouldn't take but a couple minutes.
;)
Nate
I bought the sunbeam kit and the PSU removal tool is a serious load of garbage, i was only able to get 6 pins in before it broke.
I then used a couple staples...worked like a charm. I bought 2 of the 24pin extenders and sleeved those. I did this for 2 reasons, keeps the warranty on the PSU...
retap the threads?
just an idea...you can get a pretty nice tap set for cheap, i think i paid $10 for my kobalt set and it has been used a bunch with never any issues
