If you don't like powder coat then you could have always bought a brushed unit for $270 and painted it yourself. I personally prefer powder coat to other finishes as it's much more durable.
All powder coat contains heat convection waves. It's powder coat - really.. Put it into an oven and the heat causes waves like orange peel you're stating. Look at the gallery - http://mountainmods.com/gallery/album59/horizon3?full=1
Looks pretty good to me.
Mountain Mods Duality.
Get the optional back plate and 2 x triple bay 120mm fan mounts.
Get 18 drives on the front 6 intakes, 6 on the back optional plate and 6 more on the triple bay 120mm fan mounts.
I'm sitting in front of a Water Cooled Bob Slay. The top compartment looks really nice, the bottom is a bit tangled on the cable side. The new design is aluminum so you won't see the bottom compartment - just the top part through the windows. As for the cables out the side. I like it - not...
HARDLY!!
The Sunbeam is a rip off of the Mountain Mods case. That's quite obvious, but it lacks in a few areas. One they use cheap extruded acrylic that is also thinner. Next the points of connection - are much fewer than the Bob Slay. That's probably why you don't see a handle on the...

$9 less than the Li-Li 80mm fan models. Also 80mm = more noise less flow.
With 6 of these you can get 18 hard drives in the UFO (all cooled by 120mm fans) and still have 5 x 5.25 bays left available.
The Mountain Mods is far less expensive than the Li-Li cube.
Not to mention you'll have to spend a fortune on HD racks to house in the Li-Li and the Li-Li has no removable motherboard tray - whats with that? Much easier to do stuff with a removable tray like the UFO has.
The typical fan will hold the weight fine. Think about how much weight a radiator filled with water is in comparison to a HD. But if you are worried about it use some long 6-32 bolts with a nut to go through the entire fan/bracket.
I was going to suggest using the back fan as exhaust as opposed to having 2 intakes.
It really wasn't designed to be used as 2 intakes, even though one of the review sights did it. you really need the back one to exhaust heat from the case, not to mention heat being dissipated from the PSU...
Very Nice!
One tip though - remove the blue plastic on the brackets for the 5.25 devices. It's just blue film to protect the acrylic from scratching. They should be completely clear.
"did you receive yours pre-assembled or did you guys have to assemble it? i only ask because there were some alignment issues with the screw holes when assembling mine."
The trick is not to tighten anything until all the screws are in. Then manipulate panel in place and tighten. If you...
"but I hate all those 120mm fan cutouts in front...it's way too many and silly to run that many fans. I love the style of the case though..."
They have the pimprig edition - http://mountainmods.com/images/U2UFOPR1FULL.JPG
Hard to see but only 2 120's in the front special BIX II or BIX PRO...
I wonder if this guy will be putting his review case on ebay

PC-Magazine Editors Choice - not too shabby.
