Interesting ideas. Is there an appropriate AMD card I should look at that with the added cost of the adapter still come out ahead? It seems that the 950 is about as good as a single 460, so I'd lose performance for now, but tide over.
Hi there,
I got a 4K screen (Samsung 55JS7000) and can't handle the fuzziness from the 1080P upscaling on the desktop, though the input lag is negligible in PC mode and I get 4:4:4 @ 60Hz otherwise. So I need to get an HDMI2.0 card, which limits me to a GTX9XX series. Please let me know what...
Pretty neat. Now there's gingerbread Enterprise vs Gingerbread Smaug.
No need for a "B" designation. Just NCC-1701 is correct. As you noted, it's the retrofitted Constitution, as opposed to the Excelsior class Enterprise NCC-1701-B...
I'm probably something of an atypical user in this discussion. My main TV use is as a monitor for my computer. I lucked out with my LG 50LN5400 to get HDMI audio and 4:4:4 Chroma subsampling working at the same time with no changes to the PC and setting the HDMI interface to "PC" mode on the TV...
I don't have specific experience here, but I have heard that you might need to set them up as single disk RAID 0 virtual disks in the RAID utility, unless there is a cabling method to bypass the PERC in the server. I think there was a similar thread on here regarding an HP server in the same...
I am getting that performance in the first Campaign mission. I have not even tried MP. I will check VRAM consumption. Geforce Experience Optimized (heh) to all low settings. Not sure what's up. It does appear that others do get this kind of issue (small minority). Might see if I can find an...
Not sure what I am doing wrong, but I'm one of those folks getting single digit FPS in low. I have 1GB 460's in SLI (331.82 drivers) and a 2500K at 4.5Ghz. BF3 is fine. I jumped on the $20 deal yesterday. Glad it was only $20.
I tried the core unparking trick and no change. Any ideas?
Yes. I was looking for a regular 460. I did see your thread and had I not had an existing card would have found it a viable choice. I am pending a sale from DogsofJune. Thanks all for helping me out.
Looking for a 1GB GTX 460 to rebuild my SLI rig after giving my first pair to my wife. Preferably overclocked somewhat by default (I have mine running right now at 877 with Afterburner, 800 stock) and with good cooling. I have seen some from 70-90. I'm looking for <$70.
Hope this is within...
I got mine at nearly full price from T-Mobile. Works pretty great vs my old HD2. One oddity is that DTMF give me fits when I am on wifi calling. I call carriers all the time for work and use their call trees and DTMF just doesn't fly. Turn off wifi calling and DTMF works.
Can you use this drive alongside the Intel software (on a Z68, etc), and thus avoid the issues noted with Dataplex? Or will the Intel software refuse to set up the drive for caching since it is not an Intel drive?
Sorry if this is thread necromancy.
Update:
I replaced my hyper 212+ with a TRUE 120 Rev C with the CU base, the Thermalright branded 1600RPM pushing and a 1600RPM S-FLEX pulling. Ran 5 runs of LinX on max and max temps were 72C on one core (20min run). Very nice. If I read my earlier results...
Interesting that you note the voltage. Since I am running .1V greater, that could help to explain the temp difference, though 100Mhz slower. Though I still think the mount is odd. Also, the push pull might be an issue, I think my fans have a several hundred RPM difference. I put the faster fan...
What's weird is that I got the high temp behavior on IBT without rebooting, the 5cycle to 75 was great, then a couple hours or so later, suddenly it was much higher again. I ran another 5 now after playing some BF3. Idle was about 31-34 across the cores. I am getting 91C max now. Really weird...
Darn, I just burned $7 for the ICD7 at MC. I remounted again with the ICD7 and am writing this while in the 23rd of 25 cycles of IBT are going. It's currently maxed out at 81C on 2 cores (73,81,81,78), which is not bad. This mount felt pretty good too, no hopping up of the HS when screwing it...
Ok, so big update. I checked things out and reseated twice this afternoon. IF anything I thought the IHS was slightly convex. Though when I pulled the chip and checked with the razor blade it seemed pretty good to me. Both times I used the spread technique and both times in seconds IBT brought...
That's fantastic. I need to pull the sink and take another look. I'll try a razor blade on the IHS and see what it does. The idle in here right now is really low too, so these temps are nuts. I can see 7C spread at idle between core 0 and 1 as well, but that could be single threadedness on my...
