It is really easy to install. Just pop the cover open on the bottom and then slide it in the slot. Dell has an online manual on how ot install it if you want to take a look.
As for kind/brand, any should do fine. May want to consider getting the lifetime warranty at least.
Hey,
I notice this especially when using headphones.. When I use the scroll wheel in any program, I can hear a "chirping" sound through the headphones. I thought that it might be the mouse, but switched it from ps/2 to usb and it hasn't changed.
Does naybody know what I can do to stop...
Hi,
Was wondering if there was an option to turn off the power management feature for the mx1000? I want to disable it because I don't want the mouse to be capable of bringing my computer out of standby.
On other mices, there was an option in Mouse Options. But can't find it on the mx1000...
Most of the major department stores over here are going to have it in by Thursday. Shouldn't be that much of a problem since I have midterms to do this week.
Haved used a Pioneer DVR108 and LG4163B. Both are great burners. Noticed that the LG is a bit quieter though. Pioneer does have the DVR109 out now but it should be just as good.
Couldn't go wrong with either choice.
The weight in the mx1000 does take a bit of time to get use to. But it really isn't that big of a deal. Within a few hours, I got use to it and gaming seems perfectly fine.
Still have the first computer that I have ever got. My dad still uses it. Here are the specs:
Pentium I 133mhz
48mb ram
8mb ATI Xpert 98 vid card
1.6gb HD
Ram and vid card were upgraded.
It's currently running Windows 200 Professional pretty well. Dad uses it on occasion.
I agree with the 700m. Got a friend that just got his and it is very nice. Great size and quite portable as well. Screen looks good. The keyboard is a bit compact, some of the keys are smaller which may make it difficult to type if you have big hands. But other than that, a great laptop for school.
I don't notice any lag. That's probably because I don't lift the mouse that high.
It is a bit on the heavy side which does take time to adjust to. Other than that, it is a great mouse.
Batteries last about 2 weeks until it reaches the last bar.
Hey,
I got a friend that is looking to get the 700m. Are there any other models that I should get him to look at before he makes his purchase??
He is looking for something more on the portability side with performance. He doesn't want anything super small like the ibm x40. So the 700m...
I tried FireFox but don't really like the layout for some reason. Seems so simplistic for some reason. But the browser is super fast at displaying webpages though.
I prefer Opera over any browser. Unfortunately, not all sites can properly be displayed. So for anything else, I use Maxthon.
You may want to look here for the user guide of taking the components apart:

I think I know what you mean... Is it like this???
If it is, then Opera can do it. Also, Maxthon can do it too which is based on IE so you won't run into trouble with some websites not working in Opera.
The IBM Thinkpad T Series will probably be too big for lots of travel. Instead, take a look at the IBM Thinkpad X Series. It's the smaller 12" model and I think it fits your requirements quite well.
15 hours a day
Anyways, the first and last bar go by quickly. Usually the second bar stays the longest so the battery meter is not very accurate.
On my mouse, I use it about 5-6 hours a day and can get it to last for roughly 18 days. So your duration might be normal?
Sorry for...
Since it is a Dell laptop, you can download a program called i8kfangui. It's specifically designed for Dell laptops and what it does is it allows you to control when you want your fans to turn on and off.
To keep things a bit cooler, have your fans turn on at a lower temperature setting. It...
My computer is not fast enough. Planning on doing an upgrade in the upcoming summer hopefully. So don't want to spoil it by playing it on an inferior computer :D
The MX1000 is a great mouse. There is that slight delay present in mine, but it doesn't bother me when I use the mouse normally. If I try to produce the delay, I can but this is not the normally how I use the mouse so it doesn't affect me. It is a bit on the heavy side though so it takes a while...
If you bought it brand new from Dell 2 weeks ago, then you can return it within 30 days for full money back. Just let them know that it doesn't fit your needs and you find that hte keyboard is uncomfortable.
What kind of internet connection do you have??
If it is anything but dialup, you should not be putting it lower than 3kb/sec. The point of the torrents is to share among your peers. Being a leecher doesn't help.
Using the Linksys WRT54G router for my wireless laptop. Don't really notice much of a difference in terms of pings in multiplayer games. Haven't ran into any problems uisng wireless yet.
I wouldn't worry so much about it. Just make sure that you get a good or excellent signal with your...
