    Unless you are planning to use your house as a datacenter all you need is cat6 which is rated for 10gigs. for the the price you cited wire everything including runs for cameras, home security sensors, etc...

    Tesla just released an update to their software for cool $4000. For that much hopefully it gives you massage and cooks dinner while self driving you to your destination.

    If they would stuck with it the implication would be official resale value of any model would drop to what bare bone version is at. This would really discourage costumers from upgrading to newer model since the value of the vehicle is in keeping the original owner on the title.

    I use 10/100 for management to free up ports on current gear. In fact 10 Meg is more than you need for management purposes.

    one thing i would suggest to flip the switch arround so the ports are on the same side as they are on the servers, much easier and cleaner wireing. in datacenter enviroment this is not always possible as you may be constrained by the need for front to back heat flow.

    Or if the switch doesnt get too hot you can put a resistor inline for the fan power which will consideribly slow down the spin speed and reduce the noise.
