My Buddy built this system for a customer that bailed. The SSD's I pulled showed 3 hours power on time.

I have one for sale. Processor was installed in a backup system that was not used much. I pulled the system apart today and plated around with the system for about an hour before disassembly, Processor was running at 1.150v at 4.6Ghz stable and temps where under 70c with a 360mm Loop.
I had both the Sammy and Asus side by side on my desk and wound up keeping the Asus. The Sammy looks like a 32" compared to the Asus as the curve makes the screen look smaller. At the time both cost me $999 it was a hard choice but I chose to live with a little BLB but have G-Sync.
Even with my 980ti at 1500Mhz I'm pretty much at 100FPS for everything I play. I had the 1080 Classified but returned it as I saw under a 10% gain. I'm waiting for the 1080ti or maybe a Pascal Titan.
Yes Microcenter ordered on the 23rd picked it up a few hours ago. The Samsung is nice just kills me that they only give a 1 year warranty and no G-Sync also in looks a 32" compared to the Asus :) I love how there is no backlight bleed and 100hz works perfect but can't overclock an higher or I...
Well I have both monitors on my desk right now and am torn :) The Samsung has virtually no black light bleed and looks great. The text on the Samsung is definitely a touch sharper on the other hand because of the more pronounced curve the Samsung looks like a 32" monitor compared to the Asus...
Your right during regular use it's not a big deal. I do see it in game load screens and watching video's. I have the new Samsung in the trunk I will compare in a couple hours.
I just shut G-sync off and played a few rounds of Titanfall didn't notice any difference. I guess that is because it pretty much stayed at 100FPS? Debating if I should try the new Samsung 34" 100hz monitor but can't believe it's only a 1 year warranty.
The most ridiculous thing about this monitor is the stand. I have a 36" deep desk and even all the way back it sits practically in the middle which is to close.
I just picked one up from Microcenter the salesman said if it had bad BLB come back and exchange it. I know all of them are going to have BLB but for the people that have one what do you think of mine?
Almost everyday I use
Surface Pro
Work Computer with a $100 AOC 23"
Shop Computer with a $100 AOC 23"
Office Computer with a 40" 4k Philips
I have 2 Dell e2216H's here that I was going to add to the Phillips for 2 Portrait mode monitors and they all came out of the box 100% better than the...
My first LCD was over $1k and was a Dell 2000FP :) I'll admit the only game I tried with the Dell was Titanfall II and in the opening seen where you jump from the Helicopter which I have seen hundreds of times the dark area looked as if you took a picture with a super high ISO setting with a...
I know there are trade offs I just didn't think they variance would be huge. I read all the reviews for the past few weeks probably have 20 hours worth of reading on gaming monitors. I'm typing this on an IPS panel now :) Coming from a 4k panel for the last year and a half I doubt a 1080 panel...
I'm on the hunt for a 1440 G-Sync gaming monitor and just picked up a Dell 2716DGR yesterday from Best Buy and even after the tweaks listed online it still looks like crap to me. Black levels and contrast are horrid coming from a Philips 4k 40". The colors are also bland and have no pop at all...
Maybe some peoples eyes are not as sensitive to the color shift. It was the first thing I noticed once putting the Omen on my desk. I even called my 16 yo son in and he saw it right away as well. I know have a Dell G-Sync 27 144hz in front of me and although it looks like crap it has no color...
The Black Levels on my Philips 4k where much butter than the Omen. Your exposures are different....has to be as I took the same pics.
Omen
Philips 4k 40"
One of the reasons I returned mine is exactly what you said. I also had a viewing angle color shift problem with the monitor 30" away from me where my 40" Philips 4k has no viewing able problems 34" away from me.
Rub it in why don't you! I decided to keep the Philips 40" 4k and add 2 dell 22"s in portrait mode. Monitors shipped priority mail last Thursday and have been in transit to destination for the past 5 days!! I can't win!
Gotta love Amazon, the one I actually played with that had BLB and banding I setup for a return I get credited as soon as UPS took it away. The other 2 that arrived almost a week late that I refused delivery of (Amazon said to) I'm still waiting for a refund a week later. They say 3 business...
