    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

I have an April 2018 build so I'm guessing the OSD bug affects all monitors in production right now. It appears that the monitor has to be on for many hours before the OSD pops up. I WFH and use my monitor for many hours straight during the day so that's probably why I've seen it. I've never...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

Another happy LG 32GK850G owner here. Had my monitor for about a week and love it. I came from a Asus PG279Q and have tried MANY different monitors over the last few years, including ultrawide, 4K monitors and high end TV's. Here's my thoughts on pros/cons Pros: - SIZE! 32-Inches is just great...

    31.5" 2560x1440 165 Hz VA G-Sync - LG 32GK850G

I just pulled the trigger on one of these from Amazon. I'm coming from a PG279Q. I'm tired of the glow with IPS so looking forward to the blacks with this VA panel. I think 1440p at 32-inch is really a good match. How are current owners still liking theirs? Mine arrives on Tuesday. My PG279Q...

I jumped too soon on the 4K bandwagon

I agree with so much. I've tried several of the latest "gaming" monitors on the market in $500 - $1300 range and they are all basically crap for how expensive they are. Just picked up a Sony X800D and pretty happy with it. I think I'm going to stick with it for awhile.

Confused: Samsung KS8500 vs Sony X800D vs Sony X830C

I just picked up the 43X800D a couple days ago and I think I'm going to keep it. 43-inch is the perfect size for me for desktop use. I'm using 100% windows scaling and everything is easy to read. I tried the 49-inch JS8500 last year and it was just too big for me at the 30-inch view distance I'm...

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

980 Ti SLI. Fact is some games are just impossible to maintain a constant 60 fps with today's GPU's.

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

So I decided to go the TV route again and picked up an X800D last night. I tried this last year with the Samsung 2015 models but couldn't find any I was happy with and ended up getting the Acer XB321HK. I loved the Acer except for one problem. It suffers from intermittent artifact flickering...

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

I'm with Panel on this one. I suspect Samsung won't do anything with One Connect. Or maybe they will but I'd be surprised if they did the firmware upgrade to enable 120 Hz, if that's even possible. I'm sure they'd rather have you buy a brand new TV to get 4k@120Hz.

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

That's a good point and one thing I'm afraid of. We'd be at the mercy of Samsung providing us with a firmware update to enable the 120hz even if we could get an updated One-Connect. Probably won't see that until 2018 at which point our 2016 models won't be getting to many firmware updates...

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

I think I've settled on giving the KS8000 or 8500 a try. I'm just not sure its worth a $200 premium for the curve. Also concerned about PWM flicker with the Samsung but I'll have to see how it goes.

    I'm torn between 49" Sony X800D and Samsung KS8000.

I'm in the same boat as the OP and considering the 43-inch Sony X800D and Samsung 49-inch KS8000. One thing that is making me lean toward the Samsung is the One Connect Box. Shouldn't we be able to simply upgrade our One Connect boxes once they release one with HDMI 2.1 and then be able to do...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I'd spend the extra cash and order it from somewhere you can easily return it free of charge. These panels are far from perfect and there's a chance you'll get one that has to be returned. If you buy that Adorama ebay deal you'll be paying for return shipping.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Wow I just can't find a winner here. Both the XB321HK and the JS8500 have pretty horrendous backlight bleed. I didn't think it was that bad on either until I flew a night mission in DCS. Now BOTH of them are going back. I think I'm going to go pickup a cheap TN and just wait for something better...

Right, the screen size has nothing to do with stuttering itself, but the bigger the screen the more annoying it is in my opinion. The stutter will be there on any screen unless your FPS can match the refresh rate of the display.

DCS is smooth as silk at 60 fps and looks FANTASIC, but as you may know, DCS doesn't support SLI currently so its hard to maintain a solid 60 fps with a single 980 ti. So you're options are to wait for SLI support in DCS World 2, which is on the roadmap, or go with a G-Sync display. G-Sync...

Yeah I returned the 6700 for poor motion handling. It was too blurry for me in games. I wanted to get the 9000 but found a good deal on the 8500, which I'm typing this message on right now. My problem with gaming on the 8500 is the stuttering below 60 fps. On a 48" screen its very noticeable and...

    2016 Samsung 4k TVs

Actually that is wrong. Go to Samsung.com Home>TVs>UHD TV>UN55KU7500FXZA. Click on Specs and download the Spec sheet. There you will clearly see the 43-inch UN43KU7500 listed right at the top under Size Class. It appears they just haven't listed it for sale yet like the 55 and 49-inch.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Scored a UN48JS8500 over the weekend at Best Buy for $999. Got them to match Costco and saved me an extra hour of driving to the only one in town with any left. I wanted to try the JS9000 but couldn't justify paying $700 more for it. The Adorama ebay deal is tempting but that return policy is a...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I've been considering returning it. I think I got one of the last UN40JU7500's since no one has them in stock anymore so exchanging is out of the question. I got this direct from Samsung so I'm a little worried about having to fight with them on their ridiculous 15% restocking fee. Of course...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Anyone else with a JU7500 have poor gray uniformity? I have an otherwise perfect display but every time I see a solid color background (such as the Windows logoff/reboot screen) I see a pretty bad dark patch right in the middle of my screen. I also have a JU7100 that I plan on returning and it...

Nevermind, I see the difference now switching between 422 and 444. The TV is definitely forcing 422 mode.

Right, and I've already done the quick brown fox test and confirmed I'm running 444 with Game mode ON. If I switch back to 420 the text becomes un-readable.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I thought I had read before that the JU7100/7500 didn't support YCbCr444 in Game mode. I'm running YCbCr444 right now with Game mode on my 7100 and it looks great. Does anyone know if this was fixed with a firmware update or is it more dependent on the HDMI cable you're using?

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Looks like the 40" JU7500's are becoming scarce. I ordered one last week directly from Samsung and must have got one of the last ones. Now they're out of stock and price shot up $400. Out of stock on Amazon as well. Hope the 2016's have a 40-48" option.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Hey Guys, purchased a UN40JU6700 last week and wasn't happy with the ghosting/blur levels so I returned it for a UN40JU7100 that I can get locally. Also picked up a second 980 Ti which I think had a bigger impact on gaming quality than anything. Some games turn into a blurry mess at lower FPS...
