All the research I have seen says other wise...120 hz is the norm more than not and the picture is great..this info comes from MORE than one source. I am very picky when it comes to spending 500+ dollars.....still leaning this way....not final though

I went to Fry's last night and they had an Xl2024T there. I was informed that they have quit carrying it at Fry's. They let me play with it there.....It was in the middle of a bunch of monitors on display. I could not get the basic picture quality even close to any of the basic 24 and 27...

I was wondering the same thing. Now which one of you rich people have a VG278H and a XL2720T?

According to Asus...the VG278HR will NOT be available here in the US anytime in the near future.

Has anyone even seen one of these? I can not find pricing or availability for this new monitor. Any information would be of great help. Ready to get my new monitor. Just have to decide between XL2720T or the VG278HR.

Thank you for the information. It was very good.:D I would like to get a 27 inch gaming but I like pretty colors (on women as the next guy). I do have an Acer and Samsung in 23s...they do pretty well in colors---going to SLI my GTX 670s also. So just haven't decided what to get --Asus or Benq...

My problem is I can only spend $600 once..lol So what light boost monitor do I get? I want an 27 inch but can get a 24 inch if I need too.

I haven't seen your posting on the xl2720t. All other information I have gathered suggest the xl2720t is not as good as we hoped. I wanted to get this monitor but now have my doubts. I sent Andrew Lee at BENQ a number of E-mails wanting pre sales info. He refused to answer some of my questions...

How is the Overlord Tempest for gaming?

Here's some info on the XL2720T I got from a guy that has one; "I had the MOST fun and the EASIEST time picking enemies out w/ the 27". I had no issues w/ "looks bad" w/ the exception of the severe color fading/viewing angles due to it being such a large TN. Games were great, windows...not so...

I have tried Emailing Andrew Lee with pre sales questions....he could not or would not answer them for me. He wanted me to go somewhere else for the answers. That doesn't look good for Benq......lol

Yea...motion blur with Sansung...My Acer is better at that than the Samsung. I have found varying opinions on Benq color.........hoping to find some GOOD information before I put down the money.
