How to "fix" video card core clock speed?

Ok I ran with PrecisionX kboost, voltage up, power target up for a bit and the game seems to stutter a lot less aggressively. However I still think there are slight variations in the clock speed that might be making the few stutters there were. I really want to get the clock speed 100%...

How to "fix" video card core clock speed?

Heyy anyone know about this? Basically I want to try to get the video card to run with out the VRel (reliability voltage) performance cap showing up in GPUz. Any idea how to do this?

How to "fix" video card core clock speed?

It's GTX 760 4gb, i7 3770, 12 gb RAM, Windows 8.1. The game is IL2 Cliff of Dover. In GPUz when the game starts pushing the core clock past 980mhz I get stutters and GPUz tells me there is Performance Cap VRel (reliability voltage) there is a guide here that might help if I can figure it out...

How to "fix" video card core clock speed?

Hey how do I set my core clock so that it doesn't "boost"? I got this game and it starts lagging when the core clock fluctuates. I think it runs fine when the clock is at 980mhz so I want that to be the maximum...

Forced Windows 8.1 update screwed up my Start Menu Tile background colors

No no it was the 8.1 update it changed the tile background colors on the start menu to be similar in color to the icons. Before the 8.1 update the tile background colors were the same and it looked a lot better and was way easier to read and find programs, now the colors are all crazy ass random...

Forced Windows 8.1 update screwed up my Start Menu Tile background colors

I mean seriously I don't see how there wasn't a public uprising that stormed the Microsoft offices one week after this was implemented and hasn't 8.1 been out for like a year now? If I knew for sure that 8.1 wouldn't be forced on me again I would wipe the whole system clean and go back to 8 it's...

Forced Windows 8.1 update screwed up my Start Menu Tile background colors

I had my start menu tiles looking just fine with a nice pretty gray background color. Microsoft forced this 8.1 update on me and now my Start Menu looks like a leprechaun on psychedelics vandalized my Start Menu with these hideous icon background colors. I've been searching for hours on how to...

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

Allright allright I was just curious and I waited too long for the order to ship for the day so I figured I'd ask about it. I'm gonna get the 450w, I was thinking maybe the 550w would be better if I was gonna maybe run 2 videocards some day but then it would probably be better to have 650w or so...

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

Hey still trying to figure out what PSU to get and was wondering about the "output" numbers. The 450w lists it's output as +3.3V@20A,+5V@20A,+12V@37A,[email protected],+5VSB@3A And the 550w lists it's output as +3.3V@22A,+5V@22A,[email protected],[email protected],+5VSB@3A So there is the differences in Amps for each...

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

Ok well, I've been through this question before but don't really remember what the conclusion was. In your own estimation would the draw difference between a 450w and 550w with the same efficiency be 0w, 0 - 5w, 5 - 10w or more? If it's getting up to something like 10w then I would take the...

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

I.... I... Just don't know, will 550w draw any more power than a 450w if they have the same efficiency rating?

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

Hmm I'll probably never need 550w, wouldn't it be better to have enough for what I need in a gold rated PSU? So lets say a 450w is at least 100w more than I need wouldn't that be a better fit? GTX 760 is 170w, i7 3770 is 77w that's 247w with about 200w left over for DVD drive, HD and SSD.

I looked again it seems like that's the only one. The DVD drive, hard drive, and what I think is a slot for an SSD drive use SATA. Why couldn't these people just put in a supply with the two 6-pin connectors ehehehe. Lets say I have to buy a new power supply would this one be pretty good...

4-pin peripheral "molex" to two 6-pin supplementary power connectors?

Difference between 650 TI and 650 TI Boost?

Yea I see what you mean a 500 or 550 watt would allow for an extra 140 watt video card. I would do it but I'd like to know if these higher watt power supplies inherently draw more electricity? Or is it better to have power supply that covers just what you need when looking to conserve...

Difference between 650 TI and 650 TI Boost?

I think it's plenty I mean 95W plus 140W for the 660 is only 235W. Double that (470W) is much more than any of the other components use. I would get at least a bronze rated, maybe silver or gold psu. I'm gonna buy a watt meter for like 25 bucks too to know more about what the computer draws..

Difference between 650 TI and 650 TI Boost?

Yes well I'm using an i7 860 (max TPD 95w) It's a Gateway FX tower that had a Radeon 5850. Now I think the power supply is rated around 700 watts but I'm not sure if it's starting to fail, as I had to pull out the 5850 and put in a older 8800 nvidia. Not sure if its the 5850 gone bad or the...

Difference between 650 TI and 650 TI Boost?

I'm unclear on the differences between the 650 TI cards that have the boost label vs those that don't. Is boost only added SLI compatibility or are they better in other ways? I'm not using SLI so it's not important to me. Edit: Oh now I see the boost is better in ROPS, Core clock, and memory...

Which ATI and nVidia models equals the Intel HD 4000?

    Assessing worth of older computers...

This one is a gateway fx desktop. It has an i7 860 2.8 ghz cpu with a Radeon HD 5850 (fan needs servicing, but I should be able to fix that) It's got 8 gigs of ram and I think a 1.5 tb hard drive. Comes with restore discs and a Windows 7 home premium license.

    1600 or 1866 for Mini ITX ?

Well I've been thinking about the Core i5-3570 or the 3470 Edit: really I'm just asking generally now about difference between 1600 and 1866 ram, and now I know that you can overclock 1600 if you want. Hey what you think about the difference between DDR3 1600 and 1866 RAM in a Mini ITX build. Now I'm just assuming 1866 is better because it's a bigger number. But does the benefit only come under certain circumstance and what might those be?

Best nVidia card to match the i5-3570 3.4ghz

Allright well I wasn't aware you could really change the cooling on a video card. I also have to consider the cost to performance keeping the CPU in mind as well so that I'm not making a bottleneck wasting $$$ and Watts. Also for that reason I'm not much interested in overclocking, stock parts...
