Ok after a bunch of soul searching I think I'm going to go with the Bitfenix recon:

Unless anyone has any other comments. I like that in...

I really like this one (again mostly for the gimmicky details) It looks sharp and while I'll never need to I like that novelty of adjusting my fans using my phone. But like I said. If a standard slider control or knobs are solid...
Sorry about the long time without a reply. I don't know about the wattage. Thats part of the issue I'm having. Most of the cheaper ones I like end up being 10w. Is that going to be enough to power 5 or 6 fans? (thats what most of these control) I looked at a couple of touch screen ones too. I...
So I have a CM Storm Scout 2 case that supports up to 9 fans. I don't know how many of those I'll actually have (probably closer to 5 is my guess in the end) but I was looking for a good reliable, cheap fan controller. Something I shouldn't have to replace. I like flashy but it isn't necessary...
I am asking for a friend. I just recently got an HD 7950 :P But he needs the most bang for his buck under $100. I was thinking the HD 6670 looked pretty good but I was hoping for some input before I tell him what to get.
Yeah. I know yours is the old version but I'm sure the handle is of similar build quality (or at least I hope) and I did hear about the stock fans on the original being a pain to swap out.
I can let you know how it is when I get it if you're interested. Though I won't have the computer...
Yeah Sleeping Dogs has me intrigued but I'll pick it up down the road. Saving the money is more important right now sadly. :P
But I went with the HD 7950. I'm thinking that'll do me well for Future proofing. Maybe they'll get even cheaper in a year and ill crossfire them. But for now I think...
Well I jumped on the Scout 2. I like the styling of the original better (and the fact that it comes with more fans) but I think fitting all my stuff without breaking out the dremel is best. Thanks for the heads up. How is that handle by the way?
I was thinking to get a CM storm scout for my new computer because I take my tower places often but it looks like the case can't support longer video cards with the drive bays being in the way. Is it practical/possible to remove a bay or two?
Thanks guys.

I recently had a thread asking about a 7870 vs a gtx 660. I've been swayed to go with the Radeon but I have a new question. I found this 7950:

I was going to get the gigabyte brand 7870 so this only cost a little bit more after...
I apologize if this is a stupid question. I'm still a newbie. But is it ok/advisable to boot from a 1.5tb drive? For my new computer it would be my only drive for now. I will have a partition for Windows but I hear about issues with higher capacity drives.
Thanks in advance everyone.
Well I hope that corsair works out for me cause it already done. We shall see. All that leaves me now is my video card. I found another 7870 on newegg in the price range i'm looking at.
how does this look http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102983
better or worse than...
Well I went for the corsair. I know its an older series but for thirty bucks after rebate it leaves me more for my card.
That being said this HIS is no good even at that price over the others?
Ok guys. Newegg has deals out that might be making some decisions for me. First off how does this look for the card

next how do these look for PSU...
Ok well for the sake of amazon prime. How do these two stack up?

Ok so no raidmax then. But is there something in that price range you would recommend? That antec looks good but will 520w be enough?
And over all its looking like the 7870 is the winner. I'll still watch prices on both but I want the card that is likely to last the longest. My build won't...
I actually picked up the processor and mobo for 169.99 and 94.99 respectively at micro center. And I did consider amd at first but after doing my homework it seemed like Intel was better for me.
PSU was actually my next question. I was thinking to get a raidmax 730w...
I am only thinking to run one monitor. Well I also have an old 720p 32" tv I'll have hooked up for watching netflix and such, but only the one monitor for gaming. Right now the monitor is old as well but it will be seeing an upgrade soon too. I want to be able to run at 1920x1080 as smooth as...
Ok. So. First post. I've been reading for a while but its time I grow up and ask questions. I am doing my first legit computer build out (i've just used kits in the past) I already have an intel i5 3570k(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115233) and this motherboard...
