Buying my Sammy 48JS9000, this week. Anyone know what its VESA specs are? I'd like to mount it without the stand, if possible. If I could rest the bottom on the desk and use a heavy monitor arm attached to the TV's back it would be the perfect set up.
After swearing I'd never do it, I'm making the jump from my wonderful 40" JU7500 to the 48" JS9000. A neighbor's unpleasant divorce (is there any other kind?) is my good fortune. He's selling all he can, including his unopened 48JS900 at a sinfully low price. Not sure how the hell I'll fit it on...
Order canceled. I accepted a short contract gig, today. Don't need the money or work, but I'll get to do some cool stuff with a VR start-up in California. They're providing a fully-maxed rMBP 13 that I get to keep when the job's finished in March. I'll sell it then and put the $$ towards another...
I really liked this one. It's an absolute steal at $5 bux.
I bought a few games from G2A without incident and would have no reservations buying from them, again.
I'm not there, yet, but can feel it coming. The only thing that keeps me going is how much FO3 kicked into high gear at the halfway point.
I'm a huge FO fan. Logged hundreds of hours in 1 and 2. I really wanted 3 to follow in its turn-based RPG predecessors' footsteps, but it still turned out...
Distracted walking: It's an epidemic!!!

Can't be long before congress decides it must act on this grave concern to the country.
I don't suppose God could have spared a millisecond to send an angel to warn the oblivious text-walker of his impending doom.
Or, maybe God just decided it was time to call the oblivious text-walker home to paradise.
That we're here to mock the dead text-walker proves we've never been as...
FWIW, The respected laptop review site NotebookCheck.net gave the Dell Precision 5510 (twin of the XPS 15) an 89% Very Good rating. They gave the XPS 15 an 87%.

XPS 15...
I enjoyed it, but couldn't help feeling I'd seen it all before with the original (#4 New Hope). I give it a solid 8/10.
Not going to give away any spoilers, but it's pretty obvious where the story is going and how it will wrap up by the 3rd movie.
^^ I was planning to replace my rMBP with an XPS 15 or Precision 5510, next month. Your complaints, along with several I've read elsewhere, really dampened my enthusiasm. :(
Sgt. Jackson's agonizing death after the nuke was detonated in COD4 was pretty powerful.
Gen. Shepherd's betrayal and murder of Ghost and Roach in MW2 hit hard, too.
The end of Dreamfall was a downer.
Massdrop lists this iFixIt set from time to time.

I got it for about $18 with shipping. Saved me several phone and computer repair bills over the past 2 years.
I'm one of the biggest Apple fans on [H], but agree this year was pretty stale for their product line. This is the first year since 2010 that I didn't upgrade to the newest iPhone. In fact, I damn near switched to Android after trying the Note 5. It's a fantastic device. I just didn't like the...
Gave my Nexus 7 2nd gen to my little nephew and picked up a Samsung Tab S2 8". Certainly didn't need it, but wanted a tablet to watch stuff and read stuff. Really don't like using my phone for media consumption. The S2's screen alone makes me glad I got it.
I bought a $17 Logitech mouse pad from Jet just to test their service. Everything went well and I thought about buying a Samsung S2 tablet from them. With a coupon code, I got the price down to $285 shipped. Your post gave me pause. I bought my S2 from a highly-rated eBay vendor, instead. Price...
If she was your girlfriend 3 years ago and she's still your girlfriend today, I'm guessing she wants a ring a lot more than a new tablet. :p
That being said, if you're looking to do a serious upgrade, check the Samsung Tab S2. I just replaced my Nexus 7 2013 with an 8" Tab S2 and am very...
Only game on that list I have is Fallout 4. Still haven't played it, though.
This has been a good year to catch up on my gaming backlog and replay a couple favorites.
I returned a Shield tablet I wanted as a replacement for my Nexus 7 which I'm giving to my nephew. The Shield just felt kinda cheaply constructed. I know it's been well-received, but I wasn't overly impressed.
Now, I'm looking at the Samsung Tab S2 8" version. I prefer a smaller tablet and...
I picked up the regular DVD extended edition set for $39 a few years ago.
Watched them once.
So, why the hell am I thinking about buying this Blu-ray set???? :p
This reminds me of my U.S. Congressman, Hank Johnson, who worried that Guam would tip over and capsize from overpopulation if too many troops were stationed there. True story.
To call him a fucking idiot would be a terrible insult to fucking idiots.
Seems your choice is easy. Familiarity with Samsung and Android, microSD, not an Apple fan...
Tab S2.
I tend to agree with you on tablets. I have a Nexus 7 2013 and all I ever use it for is reading and Netflix/TV.
One of the more memorable scenes was when we saw Israeli and Arab pilots teaming up as part of Earth's counter-attack against the aliens. I want to see if they have the jumbo coconut brass balls to have a touchy-feely we're all in this together moment between ISIS, AQ, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Israel...
I dumped Comcast TV, earlier this year, in favor of SlingTV, Netflix, Hulu and OTA HD. Only thing I really miss is the Red Zone channel on Sunday.
Still have Comcast internet until something faster is available.
It's an Illuminati false flag operation to seduce clueless thralls into wasting money on so-called latest and greatest mousing tech. I'm doing just fine with my Diamondback Blue Plasma at 1600dpi.
Sic Semper Tyrannis!!!!
Agreed.
My one concern on the Precision/XPS 15 is the HD. I'd love to replace the standard, basic drive with one of my spare 840 Evo 500GB drives. Hope it's possible.
I'm buying a Precision 15 to replace my retina MBP after the holidays. I'm a bit leery about returning to Dell after so many years with Mac, but that 4K touchscreen is calling my name. :p
