The i3 is a 2130.
We have 3 sticks of DDR3 - two 4GB, and one 2GB. Have tried what seems like every possible combination.
Yes, we have, didn't help at all :(
Unfortunately, the motherboard was purchased used via private sale, so a replacement is unlikely.
My friend has just finished...
Hi all.
A friend and I seem to be having a few issues when trying to built a PC we have just built.

i5 3570 CPU
Asus P8H67-M Pro Motherboard
2x 4GB Geil DDR3

Hi All,
I pretty much have no experience with powershell, but think it is going to be my easiest option to acheive the following. I have a CSV containing folder names (that correlate to AD login names) and this is an outline of what I need to do -
Need to verify that names in the CSV...
Hi all. I now have my file server mostly setup -
HP N40L Micro Server
16GB RAM
4x WD Red 3TB
NAS4Free
Pretty happy so far, but it looks like gigabit ethernet is bottlenecking me. To be honest, this isn't too concerning as I am getting 80-90MB/s transfer rates. But, one of my work mates...
Just finished setting up mine over the weekend :D
16GB RAM (recognised in BIOS, Windows Server 2k8R2, OpenIndiana, NAS4Free, ESXi 5)
4x WD Red 3TB
Intel Quad Port Gigabit NIC
NAS4Free
Running ZFS Striped at the moment but will be rebuilding using RAIDZ-1

The BIOS enables hidden features in the bios including making all ports E-SATA to enable hot swap...
Have mine finally setup :D (I don't see the point of pictures of mine though, as I am sure everyone knows what a micro server looks like)
HP N40L Micro Server
16GB DDR3 (It Works :D )
Modified BIOS
120GB Intel 510 SSD Boot drive
4x 3TB WD Red HDDs
Running NAS4Free 9.1.0.1 rev 344
Drives setup...
Thanks diizzy. I ended up ordering two of the Reds online yesterday, so should have all four by early next week. Will do some testing and post the results.
As for the NIC, I might put it in my ESXi host.
MrDudeMan - I have read that ZFS can be pretty RAM hungry - eg 1GB RAM recommended for each...
Hi all. First time poster here.
I have just recently purchased a HP N40L Microserver with the intention of using at as a NAS.
So far I have installed the hacked BIOS to enable AHCI on all ports and enable Hot plug on all ports. Also loaded it up with 16GB RAM (Recognised in BIOS, ESXi 5 and...
