Hi all. I now have my file server mostly setup -
HP N40L Micro Server
16GB RAM
4x WD Red 3TB
NAS4Free
Pretty happy so far, but it looks like gigabit ethernet is bottlenecking me. To be honest, this isn't too concerning as I am getting 80-90MB/s transfer rates. But, one of my work mates has just given me two PCI-e Fiber channel cards
I have the drives setup as a just a striped array. Does anyone know if NAS4Free supports fiberchannel cards? And if so, how would I go about setting it up? I would be putting the other card in my Windows PC.
Does file system matter? I am using ZFS. Is any more info needed?
