Was having issues with some Corsair Vengeance Ram causing my computer to crash whenever it would sleep, also had issues with my XFX HD 7950 crashing. Combining those with my Intel 520 120gb being full it was time for some upgrades :)

I use a 2011 i5 with 4gb ram everyday at work. I have no trouble developing and have never found the system to be slow. Even opening large 200mb+ PSD files doesn't seem to slow it down. Would definitely recommend an air for dev work.

How close do you sit to the monitors, you would think at the close distance you usually are from your chair to your monitor it would drive me crazy seeing my center monitor a tad bit closer than the sides. Never tried it though
