Very nice, but I don't see myself trading in the 350D for this. Now if they would make a case similar to this in the obsidian family I would be all over it.
yes, it makes me nervous... considering hot glue as a possible replacement for electrical tape but i think it might make its way inside the connector causing it to lose connection with the pin.
i'm open to any suggestions less dangerous than electrical tape!
edit: perhaps i could cut the...
putting my old 580 in the wifes computer... it's an htpc case so I had to do a few mods to get it to fit. one of which is this:
there wasn't enough room for the panel to go back on with the card plugs being on the side. so i just took each individual wire, removed it from the...
ah, i do have a dremel and i have used it on my case as well as many other various things and my wife for some reason is in full support of my "renovation" habits... so that is probably what will happen.
so is mining worth it? say i put the 580 in the other computer and had it mining pretty...
just turned rivatuner on to see what frames i was getting.
my system:
16gb 1866 memory
i5-2500k at 4.5ghz
single gtx 780 FTW model
every setting turned up as high as possible i got:
running around in city environments 45-60fps
on the sea it stayed at a steady 30fps. i'm thinking maybe it was...
yeah... i played it for a few hours last night with every setting as high as it could go and it played great. I don't know what frames i was getting, i'm sure i wasn't getting 60 fps but it was enough to be 100% playable without any sudden drops or slow downs.
well I got my 780 today and don't think a physics gpu will be necessary for quite some time... ran ac4 and arkham origins perfect with every single setting on max. will probably just wait until big price cuts and get a second 780 before i would get a different dedicated phyx card. it runs so...
looking to buy something and it's significantly cheaper at this website but i've never herd of it and google doesn't give a ton of results.... anyway, it's pcdirect.com. the google shopping tool has it at a good score but it only has 12 reviews.
think i'll do just that... if I can sell the 580 for 150. Don't really want to spend more. Should be able to get 150 for a super clocked 580 with back plate and high flow bracket.
I just got my computer back after months of it being in storage from a military move. They packed the thing horribly... they put it in a box that was just big enough to fit the main case.. not taking into account the knobs from the fan controller on the front and the fan I had mounted on the...
considered this... then realized i'm only using a laptop so often right now because all my stuff is in storage. once i get my pc back i'll hardly ever touch the thing, this one will do just fine.
and now i'm considering just getting this... or maybe if now i'm willing to spend 1000 them maybe there is something better? ugh... wish i knew more about mobile hardware.
love asus
dont know if i can do windows 8 without a touch screen now that i've tried it... i hated windows 8 before but...
considering returning it and having this shipped.. seems quite a bit better for only 50 dollars more. though i have found that having a touch screen has actually made windows 8 an enjoyable experience though i had no interest in one to begin with...
hmm, seems you are right about that... well then, it appears they had no laptops with dedicated gpu under 800. well, the most intensive thing this should see is swtor. apparently the 8610G is on par with intel HD 4600 and minimum system requirements says intel hd 4100
samsung is one of my favorite electronic brands (comes second to asus) but for this price range i wanna get the most hardware per dollar possible and you get less with better brands.
well i ended up getting this:
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-touchsmart-sleekbook-15-6-touch-screen-laptop-6gb-memory-750gb-hard-drive-modern-silver/1732077.p?id=1219061838846
it was the only thing at the store under 800 dollars that had a dedicated graphics chip. i have 15 days to...
i've already posted this in mobile computing, i'm in a bit of a rush so thought it would get more eyes here... hope that's okay.
i know nothing about laptop hardware, so i need some help here...
my current laptop is falling apart, i need a new one... today. it's a studio xps 1340. it's...
i know nothing about laptop hardware, so i need some help here...
my current laptop is falling apart, i need a new one... today. it's a studio xps 1340. it's missing keys, it no longer works unless it's plugged in, the hinges are broken completely as of tonight, video is choppy when trying to...
I agree that reds are best, but i tried out the corsair boards and did not like them. they have a quickfire with reds(i am using one now) and they are great.
I would keep the outside with as much white as possible and keep the blue and orange for the interior... but i would probably what mostly white inside as well.
really neat case idea. the case is begging for more attention to internal aesthetics. don't get me wrong, it's put together very neat but it's a framed computer on the wall.... would love to see it done up more on the inside.
my fusion remote case has never needed to be dusted out. i'm beyond impressed by it's capabilities to keep dust out.... but i doubt this case would fit your needs.
it is damn sexy indeed... too bad i don't need that big of a case. the 350d is pretty nice too.... but i don't plan on exchanging my atx for a m-atx any time soon. hopefully they got a mid tower in the same design style comming out soon before i decide just spend 230 on a fto2.
i really wan't to swap out my 650D for this case, but it just costs too much for me to justify it... especially since i will have to leave my pricey fans behind.
