Thanks for the info. However, the chassis does come with fans, I'm just certain they're noisy. The motherboard going into the chassis is the one listed in my sig. Supermicro X8DTH-6F with dual CPUs and passive heatsink fans.

How is your RAIDZ2 pool configured? You can always throw some data on the pool then do a scrub of the pool. That'll tell you if the drives have issues. I think there's some kind of IO test built into Napp-It, but I've not tried it. Check out YouTube as I think I saw a video about it there.
